Education level:
1. Flight technician (B1) – For all non-veteran applicants: AME Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (02 or 03 years) in mechanical stream from DGCA approved training institutions with 60% points/equivalent points (55% or equivalent points for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Degree in Engineering (3 years) in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent recognized by the central/state government with 60% marks/equivalent (55% or equivalent for SC/ST applicants) /OBC). For Military Veterans Successful completion of a 4-year or 4-year Class I and/or II course/diploma or equivalent degree in Engineering in airframe/engine trades issued by the Air Force/Navy /Army of India, accepted by the DGCA as qualified to meet the eligibility requirement under the criteria of RAC 66.

2. Aviation Technician (B2) – For all non-veteran applicants: AME degree/certificate in aircraft maintenance engineering (2 or 3 years old) in avionics from DGCA approved training institutions with 60 % points/equivalent points (55% or equivalent points for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Or an Engineering Degree (3 years) in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Radio/Instrument Engineering or its equivalent recognized by the central/state government with 60% points/equivalent (55% or equivalent) equivalent for SC/ST/OBC candidates). For Military Veterans Successful completion of a 4-year or 4-year Class I and/or II course/diploma or equivalent degree in Engineering in airframe/engine trades issued by the Air Force/Navy /Army of India, accepted by the DGCA as qualified to meet the eligibility requirement under the criteria of RAC 66.

3. Qualified Technician* (Painter) – Passed Matric/SSC/SSLC (for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with 60% marks/equivalent (55% or equivalent for candidates) SC/ST/OBC) and at the end of one of the following: a) The ITI Industrial Painter Certificate has successfully passed the commercial examination conducted by the DGET. b) For Class I and/or II veterans in the relevant commercial sector of the industry, led by the Indian Air Force/Army/Navy

4. Qualified Plant Technician* (Mechanical) – Engineering Degree (3 years) in Mechanical Engineering or Air Conditioning or Central Government/State accredited equivalent with 60% marks /equivalent score (55% or equivalent for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Or have passed Matric/SSC/SSLC (for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with 60% marks/equivalent (55% or equivalent for SC/ST/OBC candidates) and upon completion one of the following: a) ITI Certificate in Mechanics/Air Conditioning with success in a job test conducted by DGET. b) For Veterans: Group I and/or II in related industrial trade, led by Indian Air Force/Army/Navy

5. Qualified Plant Technician* (Electrical) – Engineering Degree (3 years) in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Radio/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent recognized by Central/State Government with 60% points/equivalent points (55% or equivalent points for SC /ST/OBC candidates). Or have passed Matric/SSC/SSLC (for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with 60% marks/equivalent (55% or equivalent for SC/ST/OBC candidates) and upon completion one of the following: a) ITI Certificate in Electrical/Electronics/Radio/Telecommunications/Instrumentation with passing a commercial test conducted by DGET. b) For Veterans: Category I and/or II in the relevant trade, led by the Indian Air Force/Army/Navy

Age restriction: (as of March 1, 2023)
1. Aircraft technician (B1) – General/EWS-35, OBC-38. and SC/ST-40 years

2. Aircraft technician (B2) – General/EWS-35, OBC-38. and SC/ST-40 years

3. Qualified technician (Painter) – General/EWS-35, OBC-38. and SC/ST-40 years

4. Factory Qualified Technician (Mechanical) – General/EWS-35, OBC-38. and SC/ST-40 years

5. Factory Qualified Technician (Electrical) – General/EWS-35, OBC-38. and SC/ST-40 years Relaxation for applicants
