BEL Trainee Engineer Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification & Post Qualification Experience as of 01.06.2023:
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- FLC01) –
Qualification: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in the following disciplines: Information Technology/Information Science/Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication/Communication/Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation/Electronics & Instrumentation.
Post Qualification Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months of experience and must possess knowledge in First Level Checking of EVMs/VVPATs/Election counting duty. Exposure to the Election process is essential.
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- SPS02) –
Qualification: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in the disciplines of Electrical/Electrical & Electronics.
Post Qualification Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months of experience and must have experience in the Solar Industry, preferably in the Solar Power plant business segment. They should be familiar with activities such as:
- Liasoning with Distribution/Transmission company Officials for JMR and Banked energy certification of Solar Power Plant & Customers for clearances, permissions, and submission of Bills.
- Liasoning with EPC vendors for ensuring effective O&M activities & State Load Dispatch Centre Officials for Forecasting & Scheduling of Solar energy.
- O&M report verification.
- Follow-up with Power Management Companies for Banked energy payment & Customers for payment towards adjusted solar energy.
- Coordinating with Distribution companies for renewal/amendment of Open access agreement.
- Other Miscellaneous activities such as periodic reporting, analysis of issues, enabling the concerned for corrective and preventive actions, etc. at Solar Power Plant Sites.
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- MH03) –
Qualification: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in the following disciplines: Information Technology/Information Science/Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication/Communication/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics.
Post Qualification Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months of experience and must have knowledge of the following:
- Java/php/javascript/node.js/react.js based application software and its deployment.
- Troubleshooting field issues and providing solutions to field personnel.
- Knowledge of RDBMS concepts such as PgSQL is mandatory.
- Windows/Linux operating systems and backup/restore solutions.
- FTP/SFTP server to upload and download data to/from the server.
- Project Management activities.
- Experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
- Knowledge of local languages: Must know reading, writing, and speaking in Marathi, Hindi, English, and other local languages used in Maps. Knowledge of Urdu and Mudi will be an added advantage.
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- EVM04) –
Qualification: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in the following disciplines: Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication/Communication/Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics.
Post Qualification Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months of experience and must have knowledge in Production/Testing/Repair and First Level Checking of EVMs/VVPATs. It is essential for candidates to be fully aware of the Election process.
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- SK05) –
Qualification: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in the following disciplines: Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication/Communication/Electrical & Electronics.
Post Qualification Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months of experience in the following areas:
- Experience in Design, Testing & Troubleshooting of RF & MICROWAVE modules & Sub Systems for defense application.
- Experience of handling test & measuring instruments like Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Noise Figure Analyzer, Signal generator, CRO, Power Supply, etc.
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- EVM06) –
Qualification: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B. Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in the following disciplines: Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication/Communication/Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical & Electronics.
Post Qualification Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience and must have knowledge in Production/Testing/Repair and First Level Checking of EVMs/VVPATs. It is essential for candidates to be fully aware of the Election process.
Age Limit: (As on 01.06.2023)
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- FLC01) – Maximum 28 Years
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- SPS02) – Maximum 28 Years
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- MH03) – Maximum 28 Years
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- EVM04) – Maximum 28 Years
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- SK05) – Maximum 28 Years
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code- EVM06) – Maximum 32 Years
The upper age limit mentioned above is for General & EWS candidates. The age limit will be relaxable for SC & ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years. Candidates belonging to PwBD category, having minimum 40% disability or more, will get 10 years’ age relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above. SSLC/SSC/ISC Marks Card or any other valid document will be considered as proof of Date of Birth.
Terms Of Engagement And Allowances:
Project Engineer – I:
- Initial period of engagement: 3 years, extendable up to a maximum of 4 years based on project requirement and individual performance.
- Remuneration:
- 1st year: Rs. 40,000/- per month
- 2nd year: Rs. 45,000/- per month
- 3rd year: Rs. 50,000/- per month
- In the event of extension of contract: Rs. 55,000/- per month for the 4th year.
Trainee Engineer – I:
- Initial period of engagement: 2 years, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years based on project requirement and individual performance.
- Remuneration:
- 1st year: Rs. 30,000/- per month
- 2nd year: Rs. 35,000/- per month
- In the event of extension of contract: Rs. 40,000/- per month for the 3rd year.
Note: If any candidate has completed three years of tenure as a Trainee Engineer in BEL and is selected for the post of Project Engineer against this advertisement, he/she will be directly inducted as Project Engineer–II. The remuneration of such candidates will be:
- 1st year: Rs. 45,000/- per month
- 2nd year: Rs. 50,000/- per month
- 3rd year: Rs. 55,000/- per month
- The overall tenure will be limited to 3 years only.
In addition to the remuneration indicated above, a consolidated amount of Rs. 12,000/- per year will be paid towards reimbursement of expenses like medical insurance premium, life insurance premium, uniforms, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
BEL Trainee Engineer Selection Process 2023:
a) Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria specified in the advertisement will be called for a Written Test, which will be worth 85 marks. b) Candidates who pass the written test will be called for an Interview (Category-wise) based on the vacancies, in the ratio of 1:5. The interview will carry a weightage of 15%. c) The minimum qualifying marks in the Written Test and Interview are 35% for General/EWS/OBC and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD. d) The venue for the Written Test and Interview will be Bengaluru.
Application Fee/Exam Fee for BEL Trainee Engineer:
a) Project Engineer-I: General, EWS, and OBC candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 472/- (Application fee of Rs. 400/- plus 18% GST). b) Trainee Engineer-I: General, EWS, and OBC candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 177/- (Application fee of Rs. 150/- plus 18% GST). c) The application fee should be remitted through the provided SBI Collect link. Candidates applying for more than one post should pay the fee separately for each post. d) Candidates can also make the payment by approaching an SBI branch and depositing the application fee plus applicable bank charges in any SBI Branch. The candidate should ensure to obtain the seal and signature of the bank official. e) General, OBC, and EWS candidates have to enter the “SBI Collect reference No.” generated after payment in the Online Application Form. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
