To be eligible for the CMWSSB Apprentice program, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:
- A degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a Statutory University.
- A degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from an Institution empowered to grant such a degree by an Act of Parliament.
- A graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.
B. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a University.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology in the relevant discipline from an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.
There is no age limit specified for the Apprenticeship program, as it will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
Selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 9000/- for Graduate Apprentices and Rs. 8000/- for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices.
The selection process for the CMWSSB Apprentice program involves shortlisting candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification applicable to their respective disciplines.
The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) will prepare the shortlist from the online application data. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through their registered Email id and will have to appear for Certificate Verification at CMWSSB, Chennai.
To apply for the CMWSSB Apprentice program, candidates must follow the below-mentioned procedure for registration and submission of their application:
For students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal and have login details:
- Login to the portal.
- Click on the Establishment Request menu.
- Find the Establishment name by typing “CHENNAI METROPOLITAN WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE” and upload their resume.
- Click apply and submit the application.
For students who have not yet enrolled in the National Web Portal:
- Go to Official Website link Given Below and complete the application form.
- A unique Enrolment Number will be generated for each student, and they must wait for at least one day for enrollment verification and approval.
- After verification, they can log in to the portal, find the Establishment name by typing “CHENNAI METROPOLITAN WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE,” upload their resume, and submit the application.
