Eligibility Criteria for Group C Positions at ASC Centre (South):
- Cook:
- Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Must possess knowledge of Indian Cooking and be proficient in the trade.
- It is desirable to have one year of experience in the trade.
- Civilian Catering Instructor:
- Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Must have a Diploma or Certificate in catering from any recognized institution.
- It is desirable to have one year of working experience in catering as an instructor.
- LDC:
- Must have passed 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Must have a typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English on the computer.
- Tradesman Mate (Labour):
- Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Should be proficient in the trade.
- Tin Smith:
- Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
- Barber:
- Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
- Must be conversant with duties of respective trade with one year of experience.
- MTS (Chowkidar):
- Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
- Civilian Motor Driver:
- Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Institution.
- Must possess a valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles.

- Age relaxation for certain categories: (a) Government servants and Ex-Servicemen candidates may avail age relaxation as per the existing Government rules. The relaxation is based on the total service rendered in the Armed Forces plus three years. (b) SC/ST candidates applying for their reserved posts are eligible for age relaxation up to 5 years. OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates can avail age relaxation up to 3 years.
- Age relaxation for Persons with Disability: (a) Under the UR category, Persons with Disability can avail age relaxation up to 10 years. (b) Under the OBC (Non-creamy layer) category, Persons with Disability can avail age relaxation up to 13 years. (c) Under the SC/ST category, Persons with Disability can avail age relaxation up to 15 years.
- No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved posts: SC/ST/OBC candidates who apply against unreserved posts will not be given any age relaxation or other concessions meant for SC/ST/OBC categories.
- Disability certificate requirement for PH persons: PH persons applying for any post should possess a disability certificate issued by CMO/Civil Surgeon of a Government Hospital certifying the disability.
- Age relaxation for Departmental Candidates: Departmental Candidates with Three Years Continuous Service in Central Government can avail age relaxation up to 40 years of age (45 years for SC/ST candidates).
Salary Details:
- As a Cook, you can expect a salary of Rs. 19,900, along with DA and other allowances as applicable.
- The position of Civilian Catering Instructor offers a salary of Rs. 19,900, with DA and other allowances included.
- An LDC can expect to earn Rs. 19,900, along with DA and other allowances.
- Tradesman Mate (Labour) will earn a salary of Rs. 19,900, plus DA and other applicable allowances.
- Tin Smiths can expect a salary of Rs. 19,900, in addition to DA and other allowances.
- As a Barber, you can expect a salary of Rs. 18,000, plus DA and other allowances.
- MTS (Chowkidar) offers a salary of Rs. 18,000, along with DA and other allowances as applicable.
- Civilian Motor Drivers will earn a salary of Rs. 19,900, along with DA and other allowances.
- Cleaners can expect a salary of Rs. 18,000, plus DA and other allowances.
- Vehicle Mechanics will earn a salary of Rs. 19,900, in addition to DA and other allowances.
- Painters can expect a salary of Rs. 18,000, plus DA and other allowances.
- Carpenters can expect a salary of Rs. 18,000, plus DA and other allowances.
- Firemen will earn a salary of Rs. 19,900, plus DA and other allowances.
- Fire Engine Drivers can expect a salary of Rs. 21,700, plus DA and other allowances as applicable.
The selection process for Group C candidates at ASC Centre (South) may consist of the following steps:
- Skill/Physical/Practical test
- Written test
Candidates who wish to apply for ASC Centre (South) Group C posts should carefully read the advertisement and ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria. When filling out the application form, candidates must write the following on the top of the envelope in capital letters:
(i) “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______________”. (ii) Their overall percentage in Matriculation/equivalent in capital letters, signed by the candidates in the following color ink:
(aa) Less than or equal to 50% in RED INK. (ab) From 51% to 60% in BLUE INK. (ac) Above 61% in BLACK INK.
Applications must be complete in all respects and include a self-addressed registered envelope affixed with appropriate postal stamps and all required documents duly self-attested.
