Cat-1: 1 Leh – Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE), Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)
Proficient in networking, installation, and configuration of routers, switches, LAN/WAN technologies. Skilled in working with VSAT equipment such as antenna control units, feeds, modems, BUCs, LNBCs, and measuring VSAT parameters. Experienced in installing operating systems like Windows and Linux on servers and workstations. Capable of operating test equipment like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and BER meters.
Cat-2: 1 Rawatbhata – Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETC), Electronics
Hands-on experience in electronic board/module/system testing and installation & maintenance.
Cat-3: 3 Gurugram – Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE)
Proficient programming skills in C/C++, Python, Bash, and JavaScript. Familiar with database technologies. Holds certifications as a security analyst with knowledge of cyber security compliance and regulations. Possesses certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSM in the field of cyber security.
Cat-4: 1 Jabalpur – Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
Skilled in networking, UDP/TCP/IP protocol, IP addressing, LAN, and WAN technologies. Proficient in working with VSAT equipment including antenna control units, antenna drive units, feeds, modems, BUCs, LNBCs, and measuring VSAT parameters. Experienced in installing operating systems like Windows, Linux, and MS Office. Proficient in installation and configuration of routers, switches, servers, and workstations. Capable of installing and configuring NMS tools. Skilled in operating test equipment like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and BER meters. Familiar with OTDR and power meters for optical parameters. Knowledgeable in isolation transformers, power distribution panels, LT & HT junction boxes, UPS maintenance, and electrical distribution systems. Familiar with DG sets.
Cat-5: 1 Kakrapar – Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETC), Electronics
Hands-on experience in electronic board/module/system testing and installation & maintenance.
Top of Form
Age Limit:
The upper age limit for PE(C) is 33 years, for TO(C) is 30 years, and for APE(C) is 25 years. All eligibility criteria are based on the date of selection.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years.
- SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years.
- PwD category candidates have an additional relaxation of 5 years.
- Candidates who were domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 have a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
Salary Details:
- For the ‘Project Engineer on Contract’ post, the incumbent is eligible for a consolidated amount of ₹40,000 per month for the 1st year, ₹45,000 per month for the 2nd year, ₹50,000 per month for the 3rd year, and ₹55,000 per month for the 4th year. They will also receive a lump sum amount of ₹12,000, which includes ₹3,600 for a Mediclaim policy upon submission of proof and the remaining balance for attire allowances after completing at least 6 months from the date of joining.
- For the ‘Technical Officer on Contract’ post, the candidate will receive a consolidated amount of ₹25,000 per month for the 1st year, ₹28,000 per month for the 2nd year, and ₹31,000 per month for the 3rd and 4th year.
- For the ‘Assistant Project Engineer on Contract’ post, the candidate will receive a consolidated amount of ₹24,500 per month for the 1st year, ₹26,950 per month for the 2nd year, and ₹30,000 per month for the 3rd and 4th year.
In addition to the mentioned consolidated amount, the selected candidate will be eligible for other benefits such as reimbursement of premium paid towards Mediclaim, Company PF, TA/DA (while on official duty), and paid leave as per the existing rules.
ECIL Technical Officer Selection Process 2023:
ECIL will conduct a walk-in interview to select the candidates.

Eligible candidates can download the application form from the ECIL website (www.ecil.co.in) and should report at 09.00 hrs with a duly filled-in application form, resume, and the following original certificates along with a set of self-attested photocopies:
a. SSC certificate or School leaving certificate as proof of date of birth.
b. Identity proof (Government-issued only; Aadhar, Passport, etc.) and a recent passport-size color photograph.
c. Documents supporting the qualification (certificate and marks sheet).
d. CGPA conversion certificate from the institution/university, if applicable.
e. Experience certificates from previous employment, including the appointment order and recent 3 months’ pay slips (mandatory if currently working), clearly mentioning the duration (from and to dates).
f. Category certificate (EWS/OBC/SC/ST), if applying for reserved posts. In the case of OBC, the certificate should not be older than a year from the date of selection and should mention the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ clause.
g. A valid certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), discharge certificate for ex-servicemen, and relevant certificate if claiming age relaxation as a candidate from J&K, if applicable.
h. The registration closure time at the venue is 11.30 hrs. on respective dates.
