IARI (Indian Agricultural Research Institute) is inviting applications for the recruitment of two positions, including one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Field Worker. This presents an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to be part of a renowned agricultural research institution. The total number of vacancies is 2, with 1 each for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Field Worker.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

• Essential Qualification: A Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course (master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology) selected through a process described by national eligibility tests such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE. Alternatively, candidates selected through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions are also eligible.
• Desirable Qualification: Candidates with an understanding of plant breeding trials, experience in handling field crops, crossing techniques, and research experience in wheat breeding and its molecular biology will be preferred.

For Field Worker:

• Essential: A Graduate Degree in any discipline.
• Desirable: Experience in field and lab work related to agriculture.

Age Limit:

• Maximum age is 35 years for both Junior Research Fellow and Field Worker, with age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC. The minimum age should be 18 years as of the date of the interview.

Salary Details:

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000 + 24% HRA per month.
2. Field Worker: Rs. 18,000 + 24% HRA per month.

Selection Process: The selection process involves an Online Interview conducted through video conferencing. Eligible candidates will be informed about the details of the online interview, including the date and time, through email after the screening of applications.
