IIPS Invites Applications for the Following Posts

The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) has recently released a notification inviting applications for various academic and administrative posts. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of seventy-five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 as per the UGC Gazette Notification dated 18-07-2018.

Assistant Professor

The eligibility criteria for the position of Assistant Professor require candidates to have a Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Demography/Statistics/Economics/Bio-statistics with specialization in Demography/Population Studies. In addition, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. Alternatively, candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be are exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Candidates who have registered for the Ph.D. program prior to July 11, 2009, and meet certain conditions are also exempted from NET/SLET/SET. These conditions include having a Ph.D. degree awarded in a regular mode, having the Ph.D. thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners, having an open Ph.D. viva voce, and having published two research papers from their Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal.

Upper Division Clerk

The eligibility criteria for the position of Upper Division Clerk require candidates to have a degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Additionally, preference will be given to those having proficiency in English/Hindi shorthand.
