Do You Have What It Takes? Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

Each position requires specific educational qualifications. Before applying, make sure you meet the following criteria:

• Data Processing Assistant:
  • A postgraduate degree in any stream is essential.
  • Proven experience in handling data processing related to NAAC/NIRF data is highly desirable.
• Placement Officer:
  • A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in any stream is mandatory.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a Master’s degree in Management with a specialization in Human Resource Management (HRM) from a reputable institution with a minimum score of 70% marks or a CGPA of 6/8 (on a scale of 8) is required.
• Engineer (HPC):
  • A Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science (CS), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Information Technology (IT), or an equivalent qualification, is essential.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in Linux server management within R&D organizations or academic institutions is mandatory.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

While the above qualifications are essential, certain additional skills and experience make you an even stronger candidate:

• Engineer (HPC):
  • Experience in administering High-Performance Parallel Computer Clusters is highly desirable.
  • A working knowledge of Slurm WorkLoad Manager scripts will be advantageous.
  • Prior experience as a Computer System Administrator will be given preference.

Age Limit:

• Data Processing Assistant: 30 years
• Placement Officer: 50 years
• Engineer (HPC): 35 years

Attractive Salary Packages:

IIST offers competitive salaries to its contract positions:

• Data Processing Assistant: Rs. 30,000/- per month
• Placement Officer: Rs. 50,000/- per month
