NHPC JE & Supervisor Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Junior Engineer (Civil) / S1:
- Must have completed a 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Civil Engineering from a government or government-recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- Higher technical qualifications like B.Tech/B.E. without the essential qualification of a full-time regular Diploma are not allowed.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical) / S1:
- Should possess a 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a government or government-recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- Higher technical qualifications like B.Tech/B.E. without the essential qualification of a full-time regular Diploma are not allowed.
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical) / S1:
- Must hold a 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a government or government-recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- Higher technical qualifications like B.Tech/B.E. without the essential qualification of a full-time regular Diploma are not allowed.
- Junior Engineer (E&C) / S1:
- Should possess a 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Electronics & Communications Engineering from a government or government-recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- Higher technical qualifications like B.Tech/B.E. without the essential qualification of a full-time regular Diploma are not allowed.
- Supervisor (IT) / S1:
- Must be a regular graduate with DOEACC ‘A’ level course from a government or government-recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Alternatively, should have completed a three-year regular Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science/IT or a regular BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) from a government or government-recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience as of 30.06.2023, in one or more of the following technologies:
- Software/Web/Mobile App development: Python/PHP/Django/Angular/React/WordPress/React Native/Flutter/.NET, etc.
- Network Management: Server Management in Windows and Linux Operating System/Firewall Management/Cyber Security.
- Database Management System: Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/other RDBMS Administration.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- Higher technical qualifications like MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) without the above essential qualification and experience are not allowed.
- Supervisor (Survey) / S1:
- Should possess a 3-year full-time regular Diploma in Surveying/Survey Engineering from a government or government-recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Essential Experience: The candidate must have knowledge of job description, including taking longitudinal section, cross-section, contouring, topographic survey, hydrographic survey, land map, valuation statement, land acquisition works, drawing of detailed survey map, handling and operating Theodolite, EDM, Total Station (Computerized Survey Instrument), codifying the data, survey software program (e.g., LISCAD, etc.), including terrain modeling in a computer, printing, etc. Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience as of 30.06.2023 is required.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
- Higher technical qualifications like B.Tech/B.E. without the essential qualification of a full-time regular Diploma are not allowed.
- Sr. Accountant / S1:
- Should have passed the Inter CA examination or the Inter CMA examination.
- Hindi Translator / W06:
- Must possess a Master’s degree from a recognized Indian university in Hindi with English as an elective subject at the degree level or a Master’s Degree from a recognized Indian university in English with Hindi as an elective subject at the degree level.
- Pass candidates are eligible to apply.
- Essential Experience:
- One-year post-qualification experience as of 30.06.2023 in the field of using/applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi and vice versa in Central/State Govt./PSU.
- OR
- One-year post-qualification experience in research or teaching in Hindi in a Central/State Govt. Educational Institute.
- OR
- Degree/Diploma in translation from English to Hindi and vice versa from a recognized Indian University.
- Draftsman (Civil) / W04:
- Should have passed matriculation and possess an ITI in Draughtsman Civil Trade from NCVT with NTC/NAC.
- Draftsman (Elect./Mech.) / W04:
- Should have passed matriculation and possess an ITI in Draughtsman Mechanical/Electrical Trade from NCVT with NTC/NAC.
Age Limit: (As of 30.06.2023)
- The maximum age limit is 30 years for all positions.
- The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in the Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules. Refer to the NHPC official notification 2023 for more details.
Salary Details: The salary details for each position are as follows:
- Junior Engineer (Civil) / S1: Rs.29,600 – 1,19,500 (IDA)
- Junior Engineer (Electrical) / S1: Rs.29,600 – 1,19,500 (IDA)
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical) / S1: Rs.29,600 – 1,19,500 (IDA)
- Junior Engineer (E&C) / S1: Rs.29,600 – 1,19,500 (IDA)
- Supervisor (IT) / S1: Rs.29,600 – 1,19,500 (IDA)
- Supervisor (Survey) / S1: Rs.29,600 – 1,19,500 (IDA)
- Sr. Accountant / S1: Rs.29,600 – 1,19,500 (IDA)
- Hindi Translator / W06: Rs.27,000 – 1,05,000 (IDA)
- Draftsman (Civil) / W04: Rs.25,000 – 85,000 (IDA)
- Draftsman (Elect./Mech.) / W04: Rs.25,000 – 85,000 (IDA)
NHPC JE & Supervisor Selection Process 2023: The selection process for NHPC JE & Supervisor positions may include the following steps:
- Computer Based Test/Online Test
- Certificate Verification
The cities where the computer-based test may be conducted are: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ranchi.
NHPC JE & Supervisor Syllabus & Exam Pattern: The detailed syllabus and exam pattern for NHPC JE & Supervisor positions will be provided in the official notification. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for more information.
NHPC JE & Supervisor Question Papers: Question papers from previous NHPC JE & Supervisor exams may be available for reference. Candidates can access these papers to get an idea of the exam pattern and types of questions asked.
Application Fee/Exam Fee for NHPC JE & Supervisor: Candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) categories are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.295/- (including GST @ 18%) through online mode. SC/ST/PwBD/ESM category candidates are exempted from paying the registration fee. The application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
