Eligibility Criteria for AICTE Non-Teaching Staff:
Educational Qualification: (as of)
- Accountant/Office Superintendent cum Accountant –
Essential:
- Candidates should have a degree in Commerce from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Candidates should have at least five years of experience in accounting, budgeting, auditing, cash and general finance matters in Central or State Government offices, Universities, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies. They should have knowledge of Government rules and regulations.
Desirable:
Candidates who have completed training in cash and accounts work at the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) or equivalent are preferred.
- Junior Hindi Translator –
Essential:
- Candidates should have a Master’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a main subject at the degree level.
OR
Candidates should have a Master’s degree from a recognized university in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instruction and examination, with English as a compulsory subject at the degree level.
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects or either of the two as a medium of instruction and the other as a main subject. They should also possess a diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa OR have two years of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa.
- Assistant –
Essential:
- Candidates should have a degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Candidates should have at least six years of experience in General Administration/Accounts work.
- Candidates should have working knowledge of computer applications.
- Data Entry Operator – Grade III –
Essential:
- Candidates should have a degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Candidates should have completed a certificate/diploma course in Computer Applications from a recognized institute or equivalent.
- Candidates should have knowledge of handling computer applications and possess a speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on the EDP/computer.
- Lower Division Clerk –
Essential:
- Candidates should have a degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Candidates should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi OR possess a diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized institute.
Desirable:
- Candidates with experience in general office work, handling files, etc., are preferred.

Age Limit for AICTE Non Teaching Posts as on May 15, 2023:
- Accountant/Office Superintendent cum Accountant – Maximum 35 years
- Junior Hindi Translator – Maximum 35 years
- Assistant – Maximum 35 years
- Data Entry Operator – Grade III – Maximum 30 years
- Lower Division Clerk – Maximum 30 years
The upper age limit for SC/ST candidates is relaxed by 5 years, for OBC candidates by 3 years, for Persons with Disabilities by 10 years (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules. The relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per the Government rules. Candidates can refer to the AICTE official Notification 2023 for more information.
