Are You Eligible?

Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the official NFR Sports Person 2024 notification, downloadable from the NFR website (). Here’s a breakdown of the key requirements:

Educational Qualification:

• Levels 5 or 4: Graduate degree or equivalent from a recognized university/institution.
• Levels 3 or 2: Passed Class 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board/council/institution.
• Level 1: Passed Class 10th (matriculation) or ITI or equivalent diploma, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Sports Norms:

The required level of achievement varies based on the position level:

• Levels 5 or 4 (Grade Pay Rs. 2800 or 2400): Minimum of a 3rd place finish in any Category-B championship/event.
• Levels 3 or 2 (Grade Pay Rs. 2000 or 1900):
  • Represented India in a Category-B championship/event.
  • OR
  • Achieved at least 3rd place in a Category-C championship/event.
  • OR
  • Secured at least 3rd place in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.
  • OR
  • Secured at least 3rd place in National Games organized by the Indian Olympic Association.
  • OR
  • Secured at least 3rd place in All India Inter University Championships organized by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • OR
  • Won 1st place in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
• Level 1 (Grade Pay Rs. 1800):
  • Represented India in a Category-C championship/event.
  • OR
  • Secured at least 3rd place in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
  • OR
  • Represented a state or equivalent unit (excluding marathon and cross-country) with at least an 8th place finish in Senior National Championships.

Age Limit:

• All Levels (1, 2, 3, 4, 5): 18 to 25 years old as of July 1st, 2024.

Additional Notes:

• Reservation and relaxation benefits for SC/ST/OBC candidates are available as per Government of India directives.

Competitive Salary and Benefits:

The NFR offers competitive salaries based on the assigned level:

• Levels 5 or 4: Rs. 5200 – 20200 (Pay Band-1)
• Levels 3 or 2: Rs. 5200 – 20200 (Pay Band-1)
• Level 1: Rs. 5200 – 20200 (Pay Band-1)
