The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) is inviting applications for two prestigious research positions:

1. Project Associate (PAT)

Eligibility:

• Educational Qualification: MSc in Plant Science or Botany from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Desirable: CSIR-NET qualification and experience in molecular plant-bacterial interactions.

Age Limit: 35 years

Salary: Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA or Rs. 25,000/- + 16% HRA

2. Project Associate (JRF) (PAT)

Eligibility:

• Educational Qualification: MSc in Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent, along with a valid UGC-CSIR-NET (including Lectureship) or GATE qualification.

Age Limit: 35 years

Salary: Rs. 37,000/- + 18% HRA

Selection Process:

The selection process for both positions will involve a two-step procedure:

1. Written Test: A written test to assess the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the relevant subject area.
2. Walk-in Interview: A face-to-face interview to evaluate the candidate’s suitability for the position, including their research experience, skills, and motivation.
