UCIL Invites Applications for Mining, Blasting, and Winding Engine Driver Posts

The Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) has announced a recruitment drive to fill up a total of 82 vacancies in various mining and operational roles. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for these positions through the official UCIL website.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

• Mining Mate-C:
  • Qualification: Intermediate (10+2) with an unrestricted Mining Mate Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) under the Mines Regulations, 1961.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mining Mate in Underground Mechanized Metal Mines after obtaining the Mining Mate Certificate of Competency.
• Blaster-B:
  • Qualification: Matriculation with an unrestricted Blaster’s Certificate of Competency issued by the DGMS under the Mines Regulations, 1961.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Blaster in an Underground Metal Mine after obtaining the Blaster Certificate of Competency.
• Winding Engine Driver-B:
  • Qualification: Matriculation (10th) with a First Class Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency issued by the DGMS.
  • Experience: More than 3 years of working experience as a Winding Engine Driver in Metal Mines after obtaining the First Class Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency, with at least 1 year of experience on a 75 HP Winder or more.

Age Limit:

• Mining Mate-C: 35 Years
• Blaster-B: 32 Years
• Winding Engine Driver-B: 32 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
• OBC Candidates: 3 years
• PwBD (Gen/EWS) Candidates: 10 years
• PwBD (SC/ST) Candidates: 15 years
• PwBD (OBC) Candidates: 13 years
• Ex-Servicemen Candidates: As per Government Policy

Salary Details:

• Mining Mate-C: Rs. 29,190 – 3% – 45,480/-
• Blaster-B: Rs. 28,790 – 3% – 44,850/-
• Winding Engine Driver (WED)-B: Rs. 28,790 – 3% – 44,850/-

Selection Process:

The selection process will involve the following stages:

1. Written Test
2. Trade Test
3. Interview

• General (UR), EWS, and OBC (NCL) Candidates: Rs. 500/-
