To be eligible for AVANI AVNL Manager positions, candidates must meet certain educational and experience requirements specific to each role:

  1. HR Consultant: Candidates must have a degree in any discipline and a recognized PG Diploma in Personnel Management/Labour Welfare/Industrial Relations/Management/Behavioural Science/Training & Development/HRD/HRM/Organizational Development (2 years) or a PG Diploma in Personnel Management or an MBA with specialization in PM/IR/HRD/HRM (duration of not less than 2 years). They should have at least 20 years of experience in the relevant field and should have worked or retired in the pay scale of Rs.100000 – 260000 in HR Division in CPSE/DPSU, preferably heading or having headed the HR Function at Organization level.
  2. Manager (PR & Corporate Communication): Candidates must have a degree with a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication/Public Relations from a recognized University. They must have at least 10 years of experience in Public Relations and Corporate Communication in a Government/Quasi Government/PSUs/Private Sector and should have worked or retired in E3 pay scale (Rs.60000 – 180000) or equivalent in PR and Corporate Communications Department in a Government/Semi-Government, CPSE/DPSU/Private Sector.
  3. Manager (Legal): Candidates must have a degree in Law/LLB and at least 10 years of experience in the Legal Department in a Government/Quasi Government/PSUs. They should have worked or retired in E3 pay scale (Rs.60000 – 180000) or equivalent in Legal Department.
  4. Manager (Procurement / IMM): Candidates must have a degree in ANY Discipline with 2 years MBA/Post Graduate Degree/Diploma with specialization in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management/Marketing Management. They should have at least 10 years of experience in the Procurement Department in a Government/Quasi Government/PSUs and should have worked or retired in E3 pay scale (Rs.60000 – 180000) or equivalent in Procurement Department.
  5. Executive (HR-CSR): Candidates must have a first-class degree with full-time 02 years MSW/MBA/Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Human Resources/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/PM & IR with first-class. They should have a minimum of 02 years of experience in handling CSR Projects in PSUs/Private Organizations/NGO.
  6. Database Administrator: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems (OR) MCA (OR) Related Technical Degree and a minimum of 10+ years of DBA experience. They should have experience in the Management and Administration of IBM Informix IDS latest, v11.x, v10.x, and v9.x database systems on UNIX OS, installing and configuring IBM Informix products and tools, proficiency with IBM Informix database tools and utilities, experience in backup and recovery operations using various backup and restore methods, expertise in SQL tuning and debugging, solid analysis and troubleshooting skills, experience on UNIX environment using SUN Solaris and HP-UX, support to Web Developers to integrate with Database and Web Publishing, exposure to Database Audit, assessing and auditing existing Projects for value-add to the client in terms of optimizing operational and technical streams, automate the daily task using open source applications, and 7 X 24 support when needed.
  7. System Administrator (LINUX): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems (OR) MCA (OR) Related Technical Degree and a minimum of 10+ years of experience as Linux System Administrators.
  1. IT Support Consultant –

To qualify for the IT Support Consultant position, candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, MCA, or a related technical degree. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of technical support or IT experience, with project management, system analysis, technical, and support skills.

  1. Web Developer (PHP) –

The Web Developer (PHP) position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, MCA, or a related technical degree. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in web programming.

  1. Young Professional (HR-Generalist) –

The Young Professional (HR-Generalist) position requires candidates to hold a first-class degree with a full-time 2-year MBA/postgraduate degree/diploma in Human Resources/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/PM & IR with first-class. Although, fresher(s) are welcome, preference will be given to experienced candidates.

  1. Young Professional (Event Management) –

The Young Professional (Event Management) position requires a degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Event Management from a reputed institution. Candidates with experience in organizing events in a Government/Quasi-Government/PSUs/Private sector will be given preference.

  1. Young Professional (Production) –

The Young Professional (Production) position requires a first-class degree in Production Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Automobile Engineering/Mechanical Production and Industrial Engineering/Production Engineering & Management/Manufacturing engineering/M. Tech in the above discipline. Fresher(s) are welcome, but preference will be given to experienced candidates.

  1. Young Professional (Quality Control) –

The Young Professional (Quality Control) position requires a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics/Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering with M.E./M. Tech in Quality. Fresher(s) are welcome, but preference will be given to experienced candidates.

  1. Young Professional (Assembly) –

The Young Professional (Assembly) position requires a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics/Metallurgy/Mechatronics/M.Tech in respective disciplines. Fresher(s) are welcome, but preference will be given to experienced candidates.

  1. Senior Manager (Cost Accounting) –

To qualify for the Senior Manager (Cost Accounting) position, candidates should hold a Certified Management Accounting (CMA) certification. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in any CPSE/DPSU/Government or large manufacturing or automobile companies as of the advertisement date.

  1. Consultant (Production and Strategic Planning) –

To qualify for the Consultant (Production and Strategic Planning) position, candidates must have a degree in engineering from a recognized/reputed university/institution approved by UGC with 1st Division or equivalent CGPA. Candidates must have a minimum of 20 years of experience in Production/Planning/Material Management combined in new DPSU as of the advertisement date. Out of the above, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Production, Planning, and Material Management sections. The candidate should be retired from New DPSU with SAG or Higher.

  1. Consultant (Quality Assurance) –

To qualify for the Consultant (Quality Assurance) position, candidates must have a degree in engineering from a recognized/reputed university/institution approved by UGC with 1st Division or equivalent CGPA. Candidates must have a minimum of 20 years of experience in Production/Quality combined in new DPSU/DGQA as of the advertisement date. Out of the above, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality. The candidate should be retired from New DPSU/D

Consultant (R&D and Modernization):

  • Degree in Engineering from a recognized/reputed University/Institution approved by UGC with 1st Division or equivalent CGPA
  • Minimum of 20 years of combined experience in production and maintenance in a new DPSU as of the date of advertisement
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D or engineering sections
  • Retired from a new DPSU with SAG or higher

Consultant (Export & Marketing):

  • Degree in Engineering from a recognized/reputed University/Institution approved by UGC with 1st Division or equivalent CGPA
  • Minimum of 20 years of combined experience in production, planning, or material management in a new DPSU as of the date of advertisement
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in production, planning, or material management sections
  • Retired from a new DPSU with SAG or higher or other DPSU with E-8 grade or higher

Consultant (Audit):

  • Chartered Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Chartered Financial Analyst or Post Graduate Diploma in Management [Finance] or Master of Business Administration [Finance] or Master of Business Economics or Master of Commerce
  • Candidate with more than 5 years of internal audit related experience of a CPSE/DPSU/Govt. department with manufacturing units may be considered with the approval of competent authority to post graduate in any other discipline
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors (desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial audit of a central govt. public sector enterprise (CPSE)/state govt. public sector enterprise (SPSE)/large private sector company in the manufacturing/engineering sector of repute. Those with relevant work experience in a govt./central PSE/state PSE in the manufacturing sector would be given preference.
  • Retired govt. servants who have served in the financial budgeting, accounting or audit functions of the departments/services in Indian Audit & Accounts Department (IA & AS), Indian Civil Accounts Service Department (ICAS), Indian Railways Accounts Service Department (IRAS), Indian Ordnance Factory Service Department (IOFS), Defence Accounts Department (DAD), and superannuated from the post of Senior Audit Officers (Sr. AO) or higher, in the revised (7th CPC) Pay Scale of Level 10 or above. The work experience should be of at least 2 years in the relevant field of Accounting & Auditing of a Govt. Sector Enterprise (CPSE/SPSE/Govt. Dept.) comprising of manufacturing units/factories.

AVANI AVNL Manager Selection Process 2023:

The selection process for AVANI AVNL Manager positions will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and performance in the interview or interaction.

The selection process involves two stages – Screening and Interview.

The Screening Committee will review the applications submitted by candidates to determine eligibility.

Applicants must submit a complete application form (available with the advertisement) to AVNL/HR for screening by the committee.

If necessary, candidates may be shortlisted for an interview. In case of an excessive number of eligible candidates, the company may impose higher criteria for selection.

If required, a personal interview/interaction will be held.

The company will issue engagement offers to eligible candidates based on the order of merit and the number of vacancies.

Verification of antecedents and caste certificate (for reserved category candidates) will be done as per Govt. of India guidelines.

Candidates must pay an application fee (non-refundable Rs. 300/-) through SBI Collect (PSU -> Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited -> Miscellaneous) or via a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, payable at Chennai.

SC/ST/PWD/Ex-SM/EWS/Female applicants are exempted from the application fee.

Interested candidates can download the application form from the AVNL website (avnl.co.in) and submit a hard copy of the completed form, along with self-attested scanned copies of proof of age, qualification and experience, last drawn pay including level/grade or CTC as applicable, etc.

The application, along with the required fee, should be sent ONLY through speed post/courier service to “The Works Manager/CO & HR, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, HVF Road, Avadi, Chennai – 600054,” with the post applied for clearly indicated on the envelope.

The deadline for submission of applications to AVNL CO is 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.
