Educational Qualification:

1. Messenger:

• Essential: Must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Desirable: Should be familiar with the duties of the respective trade and possess one year of experience in the trade.
• Washerman:

• Essential: Must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Desirable: Should be familiar with the duties of the respective trade and possess one year of experience in the trade.
• Cook:

• Essential: Must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Proficiency in handling Private Board Exchange (PBX) is required. (Experience Certificate) (For the post of CSBO only).
• Desirable: Fluency in spoken English and Hindi.
• CSBO, Gde – II:

• Essential: Must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Proficiency in handling Private Board Exchange (PBX) is required. (Experience Certificate) (For the post of CSBO only).
• Desirable: Fluency in spoken English and Hindi.

Age Limit: (As of 18.06.2023)

1. Messenger: 18 to 25 years
2. Washerman: 18 to 25 years
3. Cook: 18 to 25 years
4. CSBO, Gde – II: 18 to 25 years

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules. HQ Eastern Command will follow the following process to select candidates:

1. Written Test

How to apply for HQ Eastern Command Group C Post:

• Interested candidates must submit a typed application on A4 size paper (to be filled in English/Hindi only), completed in all respects, along with the required documents, duly attested. The application should be forwarded to the Officer-In-Charge, Eastern Command Signal Regiment, Fort William, Kolkata 700021. The last date for receipt of applications is 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained, and the office will not be responsible for any postal delay. Handwritten, incomplete, or illegible applications or those not fulfilling any of the criteria will be rejected outright.
• Each candidate should submit only one application for the post they are applying for. Submission of multiple applications will result in rejection.
• The application should be sent by Registered Post in an envelope endorsed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………” (Post applied for ……, category …………) written on top of the envelope.
• Candidates applying for the post must enclose the following self-attested supporting documents: (a) Self-attested copies of Birth Certificate (Matriculation Certificate & Marks Sheet can be provided instead).
