Avadi’s Heavy Vehicles Factory, which is a part of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, is now accepting online applications for their one-year Apprenticeship training program.

The program is open to eligible individuals who hold either a Graduate or Diploma in Engineering, and who have passed their coursework during the months of September in 2020, 2021, or 2022.

Candidates must also be from Tamil Nadu to be considered. The training program operates under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

Eligibility Criteria for HVF Avadi Apprentice Program:

Category I – Graduate Apprentices:

To be eligible for Category I of the HVF Avadi Apprentice Program, candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

• A full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a Statutory University.

• A full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament.

• A graduate examination from Professional bodies recognized by the Central or State Government as equivalent to the above.

Category II – Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:

To be eligible for Category II of the HVF Avadi Apprentice Program, candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

• A full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.

• A full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a University.

• A Diploma in Engineering and Technology from an Institution recognized by the Central or State Government as equivalent to the above.

The Apprenticeship Rules dictate the age limit for applicants.

Those who are interested in the Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) Avadi Apprentice program in 2023 can expect a stipend of Rs. 9000/- for Graduate Apprentices and Rs. 8000/- for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices.

The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) will prepare a shortlist of candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained in their basic prescribed qualifications, relevant to their respective disciplines.

Shortlisted candidates will receive an email informing them of the same and will be required to attend a Certificate Verification session at HVF, Avadi, Chennai.

To apply for the HVF Avadi Apprentice post, students who have enrolled in the National Web Portal and have login details can follow a specific registration and submission process.

After the verification of student enrollment by BOAT (SR), students can log in and apply by following a series of steps.

Students who have not enrolled in the National Web Portal can register by completing an application form, which generates a unique Enrollment Number for each student.

Once the enrollment has been verified and approved, students can proceed with the application process by following the same steps as those who have already enrolled.
