ISRO ICRB Invites Applications for the Following Posts

To be eligible for the position of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ at the ISRO ICRB, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

1. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Civil): A minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 in a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent in Civil Engineering.
2. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Electrical): A minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 in a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
3. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning): A minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 in a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or allied subjects as electives or as a core subject in any of the semesters.
4. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Architecture): A minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 in a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, along with registration with the Council of Architecture.
5. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Civil) – Autonomous Body [PRL]: A minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 in a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent in Civil Engineering.
6. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Architecture) – Autonomous Body [PRL]: A minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 in a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, along with registration with the Council of Architecture.

Please note that candidates should have completed their graduation within the prescribed duration of the course as specified by the university.

Those who are in their final year of graduation and expect to complete the course by the academic year 2022-23 are also eligible to apply, provided they have an aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 (average of all semesters for which results are available) and their final degree is available by August 31, 2023.

As of May 24th, 2023, the age limit for the following positions is 28 years:

1. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Civil)
2. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Electrical)
3. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning)
4. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Architecture)
5. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Civil) – Autonomous Body [PRL]
6. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Architecture) – Autonomous Body [PRL]

However, the age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules. For more information, please refer to the official notification by ISRO ICRB for the year 2023.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of Pay Matrix and will receive a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100/- per month. They will also be eligible for additional allowances such as Dearness Allowance [DA], House Rent Allowance [HRA], and Transport Allowance as per the extant rules on the subject.

The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. Moreover, medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc. are admissible as per Central Government orders.

The selection process for ISRO ICRB Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in 2023 will consist of a written test followed by an interview. The written test will be conducted at eleven venues across India. However, ISRO reserves the right to cancel/change the written test venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre. The call letters for the written test will be sent only to the registered e-mail ID of candidates.

For the ISRO ICRB Scientist/Engineer `SC’ post, candidates are required to pay an Application/Exam fee of ₹250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) for each application.

If a candidate wishes to apply for multiple posts, they must pay a separate application fee of Rs. 250/- for each post. The application fee can be paid either online through Internet Banking/Debit Card or offline by visiting the nearest SBI Branch.

Candidates can pay the fee immediately after submitting their application or before the last date for fee payment, which is 26.05.2023.

To apply for the ISRO ICRB Scientist/Engineer `SC’ post, candidates must apply online through the link provided on the ISRO ICRB website in the careers webpage under the current openings section.

The online application process will be open from 04.05.2023 to 24.05.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted. It is advisable for candidates to make online payment by 22.05.2023 to avoid any unexpected transaction failures/issues.

Candidates must note that ISRO shall not be responsible for any pending transactions or transaction failures related to online payment.
