“Applications are now being accepted from Indian citizens for the position of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) under the General Central Service,

Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial category, through direct recruitment in the Postal Circle.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Eligible candidates should complete the application form provided in Annexure-1. Attach a recent passport-sized photograph and ensure that the form is fully filled out.

Place the application and all necessary documents in an envelope and clearly mark it with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF STAFF CAR DRIVER IN HP Postal Circle.

” Send the envelope to the following address: “The Assistant Postmaster General, Office of the Chief Postmaster General, HP Circle, Shimla-171009.”

The application must be sent via SPEED POST or REGISTERED POST ONLY and should be received no later than the closing date, which is September 30, 2023.

Applications sent through private courier services, unregistered post, regular mail, or any other means will not be considered.”

schedule of CCS (Revised Pay) Rules 2016 plus admissible allowances.

Pattern and Syllabus for Trade test/ Driving Test for appointment for the post of Staff Driver (Ordinary Grade) is as under:
The candidates selected will be on probation period of two

Theory Test for knowledge of General Knowiedge, Simple Arithmetic, general intelligence & reasoning, motor mechanism, trafic rules, signals and regulations Practical Test for knowledge of Motor Mechanism and Driving.

Examination shall be held in two (2) stages as under

Application fees: Along with application form and Indian Postal Order for Rs 100/- or
UCR receipt to be taken in any post office should be enclosed towards application fee.
Sc/ST/ candidates are exempted from fees.

(viii) Self-attested copies of all documents, viz. (i) date of birth certificate, (ii) educational
qualifications, (i) Driving Experience Certificate (iv) Driving licence (v) Caste certificate,
if any, etc. should invariably accompany the signed application form.
One envelope should contain one application only.

One self-addressed envelope with
postage of Rs. 45/-should be enclosed with application.
The application complete in all respect should be sent through SPEED POST/
REGISTERED POST only.

Those sent through other means, private couriers by
unregistered post and given by hand shall not be accepted.

ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES should not be submitted. The selected candidates

from authorities not competent to issue the same will not be accepted.
