Eligibility Criteria for TMC Technicians and Scientific Assistants:

Educational qualifications required for each position are as follows:

1. Medical Officer ‘E’ (Transfusion Medicine): Candidates must have an MD/D.N.B. degree in Transfusion Medicine or MD/D.N.B. in Immunohematology and Transfusion Medicine or MD in Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion or an equivalent degree recognized by the National Medical Commission. They must also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Transfusion Medicine/Blood Center after post-graduation. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a lower grade if no suitable experienced candidates are available.
2. Medical Officer ‘F’ (Medical Oncology): Candidates must have a D.M./D.N.B. degree in Medical Oncology or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission. They must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Oncology after D.M./D.N.B. or 8 years of experience in Medical Oncology after M.D./D.N.B. in Medicine or an equivalent degree recognized by the National Medical Commission in a teaching hospital.
3. Medical Officer ‘E’ (Medical Oncology): Candidates must have a D.M./D.N.B. degree in Medical Oncology or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission or an M.D./D.N.B. degree in Medicine or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Oncology after M.D./D.N.B. in a teaching hospital. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a lower grade if no suitable experienced candidates are available.
4. Medical Officer ‘E’ (Medical Oncology) (Adult Haematolymphoid): Candidates must have a D.M./D.N.B. degree in Medical Oncology/Hematology or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission or an M.D./D.N.B. degree in Medicine or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Oncology or Clinical Hematology after M.D./D.N.B. in a teaching hospital. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a lower grade if no suitable experienced candidates are available.
5. Medical Officer ‘E’ (Radiodiagnosis): Candidates must have an M.D./D.N.B. degree in Radiology/Radio-diagnosis or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission. They must also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Radiodiagnosis in a teaching hospital after M.D./D.N.B. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a lower grade if no suitable experienced candidates are available.
6. Medical Officer ‘D’ (Radio Diagnosis): Candidates must have an M.D./D.N.B. degree in Radiology/Radiodiagnosis or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission. They must also have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Radiodiagnosis in a teaching hospital after M.D./D.N.B.
7. Medical Officer ‘E’ (Pathology): Candidates must have a DM (Oncopathology) or DM (Haematopathology) or an M.D./D.N.B. degree in Pathology or an equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the National Medical Commission. They must also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Pathology in a teaching hospital after M.D./D.N.B. Experience in Oncopathology, Cytology, Haematopathology or Molecular Pathology is desirable. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a lower grade

8. Medical Officer ‘E’ (Palliative Medicine) requires an M.D./D.N.B. in Palliative Medicine or a related field such as General Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Anesthesia, or Radiation Oncology. The candidate must have at least three years of post-M.D./D.N.B. experience in palliative care in a large hospital or cancer center. Those with less than three years of experience may be considered for a lower grade if no suitably experienced candidates are available. A post-graduate diploma or certified training in palliative medicine of at least one year is desirable.
9. Medical Officer ‘D’ (Palliative Medicine) requires an M.D./D.N.B. in Palliative Medicine or a related field such as General Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Anesthesia, or Radiation Oncology. The candidate must have at least one year of post-M.D./D.N.B. experience in palliative care in a large hospital or cancer center. A post-graduate diploma or certified training in palliative medicine of at least one year is desirable.
10. Medical Officer ‘F’ (Surgical Oncology) requires an M.Ch. in Surgical Oncology or a related field recognized by the National Medical Commission with at least five years of post-M.Ch experience. Alternatively, an M.S./D.N.B. in General Surgery or ENT or a related field recognized by the National Medical Commission with at least eight years of post-M.S./D.N.B. experience in a teaching institute is acceptable.
11. Medical Officer ‘E’ (Surgical Oncology) requires an M.Ch./D.N.B. in Surgical Oncology or a related field recognized by the National Medical Commission. The candidate must have at least one year of experience in surgical oncology during M.Ch. training or post-M.Ch. Alternatively, an M.S./D.N.B. in General Surgery or a related field recognized by the National Medical Commission with at least three years of post-M.S./D.N.B. experience in surgical oncology is acceptable. Those with less than three years of experience may be considered for a lower grade if no suitably experienced candidates are available.

12. Medical Officer  ‘E’ (Plastic Surgery) – M.Ch. / D.N.B. (Plastic Surgery) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by National Medical Commission with minimum 1 year experience in Onco-reconstruction and Microvascular Surgery either during M.Ch training or Post M.Ch.

13. Medical Officer ‘F’ (Radiation Oncology) – M.D. / DNB (Radiation Oncology / Radiotherapy) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by National Medical Commission with minimum 8 years Post M.D. / DNB experience in Radiation Oncology.

14. Medical Officer ‘F’ (Pathology) – M.D. / D.N.B.  (Pathology) or equivalent postgraduate degree in Pathology recognized by National Medical Commission with 8 years’ post  M.D. / D.N.B. experience in Pathology in a Teaching Hospital. Experience in Onco-Pathology, Cytology and / or Molecular Pathology is desirable.

15. Medical Officer  ‘E’, (Interventional Radiology) – D.M. (Intervention Radiology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by   National Medical Commission  OR M.D. / D.N.B. (Radiodiagnosis) recognized by National Medical Commission with 03 years’ post M.D./ D.N.B. experience in Interventional Radiology.

16. Medical Officer  ‘E’, (General Medicine) – M.D. / D.N.B. (Internal Medicine) or equivalent post graduate degree recognized by National Medical Commission with Minimum 3 years experience after post graduation. Candidates with less than 3 years experience will be considered for lower grade, if there are no suitably experienced candidates.

17. Medical Officer  ‘E’ (Nuclear Medicine) – M.D.  / D.N.B. (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent degree in Nuclear Medicine recongnized by National Medical Commission with 3 Years’ post M.D. / D.N.B. experience in Nuclear Medicine in a Teaching Hospital. Candidates with less than 3 years’ experience after post graduation will be considered for lower grade, if there are no suitably experienced candidates.

18. Medical Officer ‘E’  (Preventive Oncology) – M.D. / D.N.B. (Preventive & Social Medicine) or equivalent post graduate degree in Preventive & Social Medicine recognized by National Medical Commission with minimum 3 years’ post M.D. / D.N.B. experience in preventive oncology in a Teaching Hospital. Candidates with less than 3 years’ experience after post graduation will be considered for lower grade, if there are no suitably experienced candidates.

19. Medical Officer ‘E’  (Head & Neck Oncology) – M.Ch. / D.N.B.(Head & Neck Oncology/ Surgical Oncology) or Equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by National Medical Commission with minimum 1 year experience in Head & Neck Surgery either during M.Ch training or Post M.Ch. OR M.S. / D.N.B.(General Surgery) or M.S. / D.N.B. (ENT) or equivalent post graduate degree recognized by National Medical Commission with 3 years’ experience in Surgical / Head & Neck Oncology in a teaching hospital after the postgraduate degree. Candidates with less than 3 years’ experience after post graduation will be considered for lower grade, if there are no suitably experienced candidates.

20. Medical  Superintendent –I – M.B.B.S or B.D.S. from a recognized university in India OR a Medical qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (Persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of Third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act) AND a) A Postgraduate qualification such as MD or DNB in Hospital/ Healthcare Administration or a recognized equivalent qualification, with 3 years’ experience in Hospital Administration, after obtaining the P.G. Degree, in hospitals with minimum 300 beds. OR b) A Full Time M.H.A. (Masters in Hospital/ Healthcare Administration / Management) or a Full Time M.B.A. or a Full Time Post Graduate Degree recognized as equivalent to MBA by AICTE/ AIU with 4 years’ experience in Hospital Administration, after obtaining the P.G. Degree, in hospitals with minimum 300 beds.
