  4. Copyist Attender, Office Assistant: Candidates must have passed the VIII Standard or its equivalent. Additionally, they must possess the ability to ride a bicycle.
  5. Cleanliness Worker/Scavenger, Gardener, Watchman/Nightwatchman, Nightwatchman/Masalchi, Watchman/Masalchi, Sweeper/Masalchi, Waterman/Waterwoman, Masalchi: The essential requirement for these positions is the ability to read and write Tamil.

Candidates belonging to this category should not have completed 34 years of age as of July 1, 1990.

For Others / Unreserved Categories

Those not belonging to the aforementioned categories, including SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, and BCMs, should not exceed 32 years of age as of July 1, 1992.

Additional Notes

  1. Eligibility for Government Service: Candidates falling under the “Others” category, who have served for a minimum of 5 years in either the State or Central Government, are ineligible, regardless of meeting the age criteria.
  2. Destitute Widow Certification: Applicants claiming to be “Destitute Widows” must possess a valid certificate obtained from the Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub Collector/Assistant Collector on or before the notification date. This certification should confirm that their total monthly income does not exceed Rs. 4,000. For National Cadet Corps

Ex-N.C.C. cadets employed as Under Officer, Instructors, or Sergeant-Major Instructors may apply, deducting their actual period of service from their age.

For Bonded Labourers, etc.

Bonded labourers released under the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976, or their sons/daughters, are eligible if they have not surpassed 42 years of age as of July 1, 2024.

For Discharged or Temporary Government Employees

Those who have not completed 42 years of age as of July 1, 2024, can deduct their actual period of service rendered under the Government from their age.

For Candidates with Higher Educational Qualifications

The maximum age limit does not apply to applicants who belong to specified categories and have passed the Pre-University Examination, Higher Secondary Examination, or Diploma recognized by the government.
