Eligibility Criteria for RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’:
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General:
Educational Qualification:
- Graduation in any discipline or equivalent technical or professional qualification with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants), or
- Post-Graduation in any discipline or equivalent technical or professional qualification with a minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years.
Note:
- Graduation Level: Any course from a recognized University/Institute taken after Class XII, with a minimum duration of 3 years, or professional/technical qualifications equivalent to graduation recognized by the Government.
- Post-Graduation Level: Any course from a recognized University/Institute taken after Graduation, with a minimum duration of 2 years, or professional/technical qualifications equivalent to post-graduation recognized by the Government.
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR:
Essential:
- A Master’s Degree in Economics or any other master’s degree where “Economics” is the principal constituent of the curriculum/syllabus, with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or foreign University/Institute.
Desirable:
- A Doctorate Degree in Economics, or research or teaching experience in economics, or publication in the field/area of Economics in standard journals.
Note:
- Candidates with an M.Phil. Degree and Doctorate Degree in economics will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit by 2 years and 4 years, respectively.
- Candidates with Master’s Degree and research/teaching experience in economics will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of the number of years of experience, up to a maximum of three years.
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM:
Essential:
- A Master’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics/Applied Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years, or
- A Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and a one-year post-graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a reputable institute, or
- A Master’s degree course in Data Science/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Big Data Analytics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized University/Institute, or
- A four-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years in Data Science/AI/ML/Big Data Analytics from a recognized University/Institute, or
- A two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable:
- Candidates with a Doctorate in topics related to the above subjects will be given preference.
- Research or teaching experience and publication in standard journals will be considered as additional qualifications.
Note:
- Candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications in the specified subjects will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit by 2 years and 4 years, respectively.
- Candidates with research/teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of the number of years of experience, up to a maximum of three years.
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old and must not have attained the age of 30 years on May 01, 2023.
- The upper age limit is relaxed for specific categories as per Government of India rules.
Salary Details:
- Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹55,200/- per month in the pay scale of ₹55,200-2,850(9)-80,850-EB-2,850(2)-86,550-3,300(4)-99,750 (16 years) applicable to Officers in Grade B.
- They will also be eligible for various allowances as per rules in force from time to time.
- The initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) are approximately Rs. 1,16,914/-.
Selection Process for RBI Officers in Grade ‘B’ 2023:
- The selection process may include Online/Written examinations in Phase I and Phase II, followed by an Interview.
Online Examination Centers:
- Phase I (Gr. B (DR) – General): Multiple centers, including Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Salem, Namakkal, Thiruchirapalli, and Tirunelveli.
- Phase II – Gr. B (DR) – General: Chennai.
- Phase I & Phase II (DEPR/DSIM): Chennai.
