SBI is inviting applications for the following positions:

SBI Probationary Officers (POs) Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As of December 31, 2023)

Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Those in the final year/semester of their graduation can also apply provisionally, provided they can produce proof of graduation completion before December 31, 2023. Candidates with qualifications in fields such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, etc., are also eligible.

Age Limit: (As of April 1, 2023)

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of April 1, 2023, i.e., born between April 2, 1993, and April 1, 2002 (inclusive). Relaxations in upper age limits apply as per government rules, with 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and as per Govt. of India rules for Ex-Servicemen.

Salary Details:

At present, the starting basic pay is INR 41,960/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840, applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will be eligible for various allowances and perquisites such as DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributed Pension Fund (NPS), LFC, Medical Facility, Lease rental facility, etc., as per the rules in force from time to time.

SBI Probationary Officers (POs) Selection Process 2023:

SBI may follow this selection process:

1. Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
2. Phase-II: Main Examination
3. Phase-III: Comprises of (i) Psychometric Test (ii) Group Exercise & (iii) Interview

Exam Centers in Tamil Nadu:

Preliminary Examination Centers: Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Madurai, Nagercoil, Salem, Thanjavur, Thiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Virudhunagar

Main Examination Centers: Chennai, Madurai, Tirunelveli

Application Fee/Exam Fee for SBI Probationary Officers (POs):

Application Fee is INR 750/- for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ‘Nil’ for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable and cannot be reserved for any other examination or selection. Candidates are required to pay the application fee online using debit card, credit card, or Internet Banking.

Candidates meeting the specified criteria must apply online through the link on the SBI website under the “current openings” section in the careers webpage at https://www.sbi.co.in/ from September 7, 2023, to September 27, 2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.
