BHEL Engineer & Supervisor Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
- Engineers – Civil:
- Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology from a recognized Indian University/Institute, or
- 5 Year Integrated Master’s degree OR Dual Degree Programme in Civil Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Minimum 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates and 50% marks in aggregate for SC/ST candidates.
Work Experience & Capabilities:
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in the following areas:
- Execution of Reinforced Cement Concrete Structures (RCC)
- Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection Work
- Piling Work
- RCC Chimney in Infrastructural Industries such as Power Plant, Steel Plant, Cement Plant, Refineries, Petro-Chemicals, or any other Large Scale Industrial/Infrastructure Projects.
- Capabilities:
- Project Execution capabilities with good ability in project planning, problem solving, time and resource management, and decision making.
- Good computer knowledge in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
- Experience in the Power Sector is preferable.
- Supervisor – Civil:
- Full-Time Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Minimum 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC candidates and 50% marks in aggregate for SC/ST candidates.
Work Experience & Capabilities:
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in the following areas:

Age Limit: (As of 01.05.2023)
- Engineers – Civil: Maximum 34 years.
- Supervisor – Civil: Maximum 34 years.
The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules. Candidates’ relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided as per the Government rules. Refer to the BHEL official Notification 2023 for more information.
Salary Details:
- Engineers – Civil: Rs.82,620/-
- Supervisor – Civil: Rs.46,130/-
In addition, reimbursement for the premium paid for Mediclaim Policy up to Rs. 2 lakh for Self & Family is eligible.
BHEL Engineer & Supervisor Selection Process 2023:
Eligible candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview in a ratio of up to 1:10 to the number of vacancies. If there are more eligible applications beyond the ratio of 1:10, shortlisting for the interview will be done in the ratio of 1:10 based on qualifying marks in the relevant qualification of Degree/Diploma in Civil.

Candidates are required to fill the online application and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200/- online through SBI Collect. SC/ST and PWBD candidates are exempted from paying the processing fee but still need to send their application form to the address mentioned below.
