The eligibility criteria for the CSIR-CECRI Project Associate positions are as follows:
- Project Associate-II:
Applicants must have an M.Sc. in Physics and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Research and Development in academic institutions, science and technology organizations, or industrial scientific activities and services. Additionally, experience in the field of electrocatalysts, nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, and fuel cells is desirable.
- Project Associate-I:
Candidates must have an M.Sc. in Chemistry, with desirable experience in the synthesis of electrocatalysts, nanomaterial characterization, and fuel cells.
- Project Associate-I:
Aspiring candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Chemistry, with desirable experience in polymer membrane, nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, and fuel cells.
- Project Associate-I:
Applicants must have an M.Sc. in Chemistry/M.Sc. Materials Chemistry/M.Sc. Nanoscience, with desirable experience in electrocatalyst development and its application in electrosynthesis of fine chemicals.
- Project Associate-I:
Candidates must have a B.E/B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering, with a preference for those with knowledge of fuel cells, hydrogen energy, and reactor engineering and design.
- Project Associate-I:
Applicants must have a B.E/B.Tech degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, with desirable knowledge of fuel cells, hydrogen energy, thermodynamics, Autocad/Inventor for 2D and 3D designs, and modeling software such as COMSOL, Ansys, and ASPEN.
- Project Associate-I:
Aspiring candidates must hold a B.E/B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering, with desirable knowledge of Autocad/Inventor for 2D and 3D designs and basic knowledge of hydrogen fuel cells.
- Project Assistant:
Applicants must hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with desirable knowledge of design software for 2D and 3D designs, CFD, mechanical assembly, and testing.

Selection Process for CSIR-CECRI Project Associate 2023:
The selection process for the CSIR-CECRI Project Associate positions will be a Walk-in-Interview. Interested and eligible candidates who possess the essential qualification listed above must appear for the interview at the Institute. Candidates must bring all original and self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials, a valid identity proof (Voter ID card/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Aadhar Card), and one passport size photograph. CECRI (Central Electrochemical Research Institute) is a premier research organization in India that focuses on electrochemical research and technology development. Established in 1948, CECRI is a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which is the largest network of research and development institutions in India.
The institute is located in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, and has a team of over 500 scientists, engineers, and technicians who work towards advancing knowledge and technology in the field of electrochemistry.
CECRI is renowned for its contributions to the development of new technologies in the field of electrochemistry. The institute’s research covers a wide range of areas, including battery technology, corrosion science and engineering, electrochemical sensors and biosensors, electrochemical energy storage, and materials science.
The institute has been involved in several important research projects, including the development of a sodium-ion battery, which is considered a promising alternative to lithium-ion batteries, and the development of cost-effective and efficient electrochemical processes for the extraction of metals from ores and waste materials.
