NIACL AO (Generalists & Specialists) Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As of 01.08.2023)

1. AO – Risk Engineers: Candidates should have completed Graduation/Post-graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Risk Engineers primarily deal with risk analysis and assessment at insured entities, focusing on property damage (fire, explosion, weather damage, etc.), machinery breakdown, and loss of profit associated with material damage and/or machinery breakdown.
2. AO – Automobile Engineers: a) B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech in Automobile Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). OR b) Graduate/Post-graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) along with a Diploma (of at least one-year duration) in Automobile Engineering.
3. AO – Legal: Candidates should hold a Graduate/Post-graduate degree in Law with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
4. AO – Accounts: Candidates must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and possess Graduation/Post Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
5. AO – Health: a) M.B.B.S/M.D./M.S. or PG-Medical Degree OR b) B.D.S/M.D.S OR c) BAMS/BHMS (graduate or post-graduate) from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree (at least 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Additionally, candidates with equivalent foreign degrees recognized by the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India), Dental Council of India, National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, National Commission for Homoeopathy (as applicable) are eligible with the prescribed benchmark. Candidates must also hold valid registration from the relevant medical or dental council (as applicable) or any State Medical or Dental Council, as on the date of the scheduled interview.
6. AO – IT: a) B.E./B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in IT or Computer Science Discipline. OR b) M.C.A with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
7. AO – Generalists: Candidates must have a minimum qualification of a graduate/post-graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government, with at least 60% marks for General candidates and at least 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

Age Limit: (As of 01.08.2023)

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 30 years old, i.e., they should have been born between 2nd Aug 1993 and 1st Aug 2002 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and as per the rules for Ex-Servicemen.

Salary Details:

Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs. 50,925/- in the scale of Rs. 50,925-2500(14)-85,925-2710(4)- 96,765 and other admissible allowances as applicable. The approximate gross emoluments will be Rs. 80,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centers. Additional benefits include coverage under the National Pension System governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, etc., as per the company’s rules at the time of appointment. The officers are also entitled to Company’s/leased accommodation as per norms.

NIACL AO (Generalists & Specialists) Selection Process 2023:

The selection process for NIACL AO includes three phases:

1. Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
2. Phase – II: Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive)
3. Phase – III: Interview

Exam Center in Tamilnadu:

For Phase-I, the exam centers in Tamilnadu include: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Nagercoil, Salem, Thanjavur, Thiruchirapalli, Tirunelvelli, Vellore.

For Phase-II, the exam center is Chennai.

Application Fee/Exam Fee for NIACL AO (Generalists & Specialists):

• SC/ST/PwBD candidates: Rs. 100/- (inclusive of GST) (Intimation charge only)
• All other candidates: Rs. 850/- (inclusive of GST) (Application fee including intimation charges)

The payment can be made through Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
