Current CPCB Consultant Vacancy Information:

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is inviting applications for the following consultant positions:

Position Details:

1. Consultant ‘A’ – 3 vacancies
2. Consultant ‘B’ – 52 vacancies
3. Consultant ‘C’ – 19 vacancies

Total Vacancies: 74

CPCB Consultant Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

1. Consultant ‘A’:

• Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology/Science or a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology with proficiency in M.S. Office.
  • They should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control.
  • Alternatively, retired government employees with a Grade pay of Rs. 4600/- (Level-7) and above, knowledge of M.S. Office, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Environmental Pollution management/control are eligible.

• Consultant ‘B’:

• Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology/Science or a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology with proficiency in M.S. Office.
  • They should have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control.
  • Alternatively, retired government employees with a Grade pay of Rs. 6600/- (Level-11) and above, knowledge of M.S. Office, and a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Environmental Pollution management/control are eligible.

• Consultant ‘C’:

• Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology/Science or a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Technology, or a Ph.D. in the field of Environmental Science/Engineering/Technology.
  • They should have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in the field of Environmental Pollution management/control.
  • Alternatively, retired government employees with a Grade pay of Rs. 8700/- (Level-13) and above and a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in Environmental Pollution management/control are eligible.

Age Limit: (As of 01.09.2023)

1. Consultant ‘A’ – Up to 65 years
2. Consultant ‘B’ – Up to 65 years
3. Consultant ‘C’ – Up to 65 years

Candidates may be eligible for age relaxation per government rules. Please refer to the CPCB official Notification 2023 for more details.

Salary Details:

1. Consultant ‘A’ – Rs. 60,000/- (Sixty Thousand Rupees only)
2. Consultant ‘B’ – Rs. 80,000/- (Eighty Thousand Rupees only)
3. Consultant ‘C’ – Rs. 1,00,000/- (One Lakh Rupees only)

The selection process for CPCB consultants may include the following steps:

1. Shortlisting
2. Interview
