Description About the Job

Job Role: Insurance Advisor and Video Editor

Job Location: Remote (Work From Home)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Insurance Advisor:

• Represent Ditto as the main point of contact, engaging directly with users
• Communicate with users via calls, WhatsApp, or emails to understand their requirements and suggest suitable policies or features
• Guide users through their insurance purchasing process
• Provide personalized assistance to users throughout their journey

Video Editor:

• Collaborate with the team in the Bangalore Office to develop video production strategies
• Edit, create, and shoot innovative videos, incorporating graphics, gifs, and clips with special effects and music for various social media platforms such as ads, reels, IGTVs, YouTube Shorts, etc.
• Ensure video quality meets brand guidelines by performing quality controls, including color correction and white balance adjustments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required

Age Requirement:

• Minimum age of 18 years; no upper age limit specified by Ditto

Pay Scale/CTC:

• Average monthly salary for Insurance Advisor and Video Editor positions at Ditto is Rs 37,500 (approximately 4.5 lakhs per year)

Expected Knowledge and Skills:

For Insurance Advisor:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Previous experience in the insurance domain is a plus
• Demonstrated ownership and leadership qualities
• Excellent listening and analytical abilities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

For Video Editor:

• Proficiency in editing raw video footage and incorporating effects and elements to enhance the final product
• Creative mindset with strong conceptual and visual abilities
• Strong command of the English language
• Familiarity with software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop (Basic), and other relevant tools
• Ability to effectively communicate and present ideas to the team and management

Selection Process:

• The selection process consists of shortlisting, assessment tests, and virtual/face-to-face interviews.

What Does Ditto Do?

At Ditto, our primary objective is to assist individuals in purchasing insurance. We break down the complexities of health and life insurance policies, communicating the information in a language that our users easily comprehend. Additionally, we curate personalized recommendations tailored to individual needs and preferences.

Backing Ditto is Zerodha, India’s largest stockbroker, providing us with the necessary resources to deliver exceptional service to our users.

Job Brief:

As a Ditto representative, you will serve as the face of our service, directly engaging with users. Through calls, WhatsApp, or email interactions, you will understand their requirements and provide recommendations on policies and features that best suit their needs. Your role will involve guiding users throughout their insurance buying journey, ensuring a seamless experience.

Ditto consists of two advisory teams, namely Team A and Team B:

• Team A: Advisors spend approximately 40% of their time engaging with users through direct calls, while the remaining time is dedicated to WhatsApp interactions. This team offers flexible work schedules, with two shifts available: 12pm to 9pm and 2pm to 11pm.
• Team B: Advisors in this team allocate around 60% of their time for direct call interactions, with the remainder dedicated to WhatsApp. Working hours for Team B are typically from 10am to 8pm.

During the application process, you can choose between Team A and Team B. Furthermore, if you lack an insurance background, we offer a rigorous two-month training program to bring you up to speed.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Effective communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
