The eligibility criteria for the EPFO SSA & Stenographer Recruitment 2023 are as follows:
Educational Qualification:
Social Security Assistant (SSA) (Group C) – The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university as of the closing date for online registration of application. The candidate must also have a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer. Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed Essential qualification should not apply. A recognized university means (i) a University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or an Act of State Legislature in India or (ii) an educational institute established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a deemed university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956).
Stenographer (Group C) – The candidate must be a 12th class pass from a recognized Board.
Age Limit:
The age limit for EPFO SSA & Stenographer Recruitment 2023 is 18 to 27 years as of 26th April 2023. However, age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

- OBC candidates: The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. This means that OBC candidates who have attained the age of 18 years but have not crossed the age of 30 years as on 26th April 2023 are eligible to apply for the SSA position.
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years for candidates with disabilities. This means that PWD candidates who have attained the age of 18 years but have not crossed the age of 37 years as on 26th April 2023 are eligible to apply for the SSA position. Additionally, SC/ST PWD candidates are eligible for an age relaxation of 15 years, and OBC PWD candidates are eligible for an age relaxation of 13 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: EPFO follows the rules set by the Government of India for age relaxations for Ex-Servicemen.
