CLIENT ONBOARDING: A Cornerstone of Success
Within the Client Onboarding (COB) division, the New Client Onboarding and Rolling Review team is responsible for supporting the Know Your Customer (KYC) processes across various business areas and products. Our primary objective is to efficiently onboard new clients while maintaining strict control measures and delivering excellent client service.
We collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including Compliance, Business, Client Implementation, and Quality Assurance, to achieve these goals.
BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW: Facilitating Strong Client Relationships
Client Onboarding is accountable for establishing and maintaining client relationships within the firm. Our team in Bangalore specializes in client due diligence and refreshing client static data, all while adhering to Compliance requirements for Global Banking & Markets.
We diligently manage the accuracy of Know Your Client data for new and existing accounts, engaging in direct communication with clients, agent banks, and internal business units. As a member of the Client Onboarding team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the account opening process and configuring clients for our electronic trading business across regions and products for institutional client services.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues from Client Onboarding, Middle Offices, technology, sales traders, and compliance, and may also interact with external clients.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Contributing to Seamless Onboarding
As a part of the New Client Onboarding and Rolling Review teams, you will be instrumental in managing the ‘Know Your Client’ (KYC) checks to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
You will respond promptly and knowledgeably to queries from clients, internal departments, and the business. Your role will also involve risk and issue identification and escalation, as well as assisting with process enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency within the Client Onboarding function.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Management, Compliance, and Quality Assurance will be vital to your success. Additionally, you may participate in ad hoc onboarding projects as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, you must possess the ability to deliver within deadlines, adhere to risk and controls, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with confidence in interacting with employees at all levels, are essential. Given the fast-paced nature of our environment, you should be energetic, capable of multitasking, and able to thrive under pressure.
Your strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting will be critical to meeting tight deadlines. You should be forward-thinking, with the capacity to assert new ideas and see them through, while also identifying alternative solutions and clear objectives.
Finally, you must display a willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on changing policy requirements and industry developments related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Additional Assets for Success
Prior experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML processes, or regulatory knowledge would be advantageous in this role. Your ability to work under pressure and adapt to change will also be valuable.
