Educational Qualification for Apprentice Trainees

Apprenticeship is a training program that enables individuals to gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in a particular field. The eligibility criteria for different types of apprentice trainees are as follows:

  1. Graduate Apprentice – Engineering To be eligible for a Graduate Apprentice – Engineering program, candidates should have a degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University or by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
  2. Graduate Apprentice – Non Engineering Candidates who wish to apply for a Graduate Apprentice – Non Engineering program should have a degree granted by a statutory University, by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament, by educational institutes established by a State Government, or by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government.
  3. Diploma Apprentice To be eligible for a Diploma Apprentice program, candidates should have a diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government, by a University, or by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to a diploma. Additionally, sandwich course students who are undergoing training in order to hold a diploma in Engineering/Technology are also eligible.
  4. ITI Apprentice Candidates applying for an ITI Apprentice program should have a certificate in a vocational course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education. Additionally, sandwich course students who are undergoing training in order to hold a certificate as mentioned above are also eligible.

For B.E / B.Tech. / Diploma (Engineering) Apprentice Trainees & B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A / BCA / BBA (Non Engineering) Apprentice Trainees, only candidates who have passed in the year 2020 /2021/2022 (last three years) as regular candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam earlier than 2020 are not eligible.

  2. Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Non-Engineering: Candidates must have completed B.Com./B.Sc./B.A./BCA/BBA in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
  3. Diploma Apprentice Trainees: Candidates must have completed a Diploma in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
  4. ITI Apprentice Trainees: Candidates must have completed an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.

Stipend:

Selected candidates will be paid the following stipend:

  1. Graduate Apprentice – Engineering: Rs. 9000/- per month
  2. Graduate Apprentice – Non-Engineering: Rs. 9000/- per month
  3. Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 8000/- per month
  4. ITI Apprentice: Rs. 7000/- per month

Selection Process:

Depending on the vacancies available in various disciplines, the selection of candidates will be carried out by shortlisting on the basis of academic merit/written test/interview as required, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents.
