They should also have 60% aggregate marks in Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Petrochemical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering (Fertilizer)/ Chemical Engineering (Plastic & Polymer)/ Chemical Engineering (Sugar Technology)/ Refinery & Petrochemical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering (Oil Technology)/ Chemical Engineering (Polymer Tech). For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD, 50% aggregate marks are acceptable.
Similarly, if you want to become an Assistant Boiler Technician, you need to have 60% aggregate marks in XII or 60% aggregate marks in ITI approved by NCVET. Maximum age limit is also relaxable by 5 years for candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989. Ex-servicemen who have put in not less than six months’ continuous service in the Armed Forces of the Union are allowed to deduct the period of such service from their actual age. If the resultant age does not exceed by more than three years the maximum age limit prescribed for the post or service for which a candidate seeks appointment, he/she will be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have completed their Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognized university.
Salary Details:
The remuneration for the HPCL Technician post will be approximately Rs. 7,52,000/- per annum on a cost-to-company basis. The pay scale for the post is Rs. 27,500/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-. The CTC mentioned has been calculated at a minimum base level and includes basic pay, retirement benefits, dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and cafeteria allowance. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of six months, and upon successful completion of the probation period, they will be considered for confirmation subject to satisfactory performance during the probation period.
Selection Process:
The selection process for the HPCL Technician post involves a Computer Based Test (CBT), document verification, and a skill test. Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for document verification and the skill test. The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the CBT, document verification, and skill test.
