Educational Qualification:
- Research Associate (RA):
- With Doctoral Degree: Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Plant Physiology/Plant Biochemistry/Genetics & Plant Breeding/Botany or any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience.
- With Master’s Degree: Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Plant Physiology/Plant Biochemistry/Genetics & Plant Breeding/Botany or any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least three years of research experience.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience in basic molecular techniques, molecular cloning, genetic transformation of crops, plant tissue culture, scientific writing, as evident from publications.
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology/Plant Physiology/Plant Biochemistry/Genetics & Plant Breeding/Botany or any relevant discipline of life sciences with desirable experience with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s Degree.
- Candidates with a Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET/GATE qualifications and 2 years of research experience.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience in basic molecular techniques, genetic transformation of crops, plant tissue culture, scientific writing, as evident from publications.
- Young Professional II (YPII):
- Postgraduates in Biotechnology/Plant Physiology/Plant Biochemistry/Genetics & Plant Breeding/Botany or any relevant discipline of life sciences or graduate degree holders in relevant Agricultural Sciences/Engineering/Technology.
- Desirable Qualifications: Experience in basic molecular techniques, genetic transformation of crops, plant tissue culture, scientific writing, as evident from publications.
Age Limit:
- Research Associate (RA): Maximum 40 years for men; 45 years for women
- Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Maximum 35 years for men; 40 years for women
- Young Professional II (YPII): Minimum 21 years; Maximum 45 years
Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:
- For SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
- For OBC Candidates: 3 years
- For PwBD (Gen/EWS) Candidates: 10 years

Salary Details:
- Research Associate (RA):
- For Master Degree holders with 3-year experience: Rs. 49,000 + HRA per month

- For 3rd year: Rs. 35,000 + HRA per month
