After ensuring the correctness of the details in the Income Tax Sports Quota Recruitment 2023 application form,
candidates are required to pay the Income application fee through the payment gateway on the Income Tax Department website integrated with the online application.
Online fee payment through Net Banking or debit / credit card will be available upto last date of application form.

Income Tax Sports Quota Selection Process
After scrutinizing the applications, suitable candidates will be shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process.

This phase will include document verification, trials, and , as deemed necessary by the department.
The department will announce the selection criteria and process at an appropriate time.
However, it is important to note that succeeding in these tests does not guarantee appointment unless the candidate is deemed suitable in all respects.
The recruitment process will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, candidates will be ranked based on their achievements in sports/games and their performance in field trials, which will also be taken into account for ranking.
However, candidates who are not found fit in the field trials will not be considered further.
In the second phase, the shortlisted candidates will be required to take a , which they will need to pay for themselves.
The written exam for Income Tax Inspectors/Tax Assistants/Multi-Tasking Staff will be in either English or Hindi and will consist of multiple choice questions in General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness.
The candidates applying for Tax Assistant posts will also need to qualify the Data Entry Skill Test at a rate of 8000 key depressions per hour, as per the relevant recruitment rules.
Based on the aggregate marks obtained in both phases, the candidates will be ranked for selection. It is essential to meet all the criteria to be considered for appointment to the post.
Candidates should submit their application form along with self-attested copies of necessary documents at the following address before or on the last date of application through offline mode only (By Speed Post Only).
Application received after the last date or applications incomplete in any respect will not be considered.
Required Documents To Be Attached With The Application Form
Copies of the following certificates should be sent along with the application. Original certificates should not be sent with the application.
- Educational and Professional qualification certificates.
- Caste Certificate, if candidate belong to reserved category.
- Copy of Birth Certificate and Domicile Certificate.
- Copy of Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter ID Card/ Driving License or any other Government
issued ID proof. - Sports/games certificates as mentioned in notification.
- Attach other necessary documents with the application form.
General Conditions & Instructions
Candidates must clearly subscribed the word, “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ____ CATEGORY____” on the top of the envelope while sending the Income Tax Sports Quota application form.
- Fill all the columns of the application yourself, In plain and Capital letters.
- No cutting or over harvesting in the Income Tax Sports Quota application form.
- Incomplete, incorrect, wrongly filled, over writing, without signature, without photograph Income Tax Sports Quota application will be rejected.
- This Income Tax Department office shall not be responsible for any kind of postal delay.
- The candidates must write their name, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name strictly as given in the matriculation certificate otherwise their candidature be cancelled as and when it comes into the notice of the Income Tax Department.
