Agniveer General Duty (All Arms) is one of the most popular positions for individuals aspiring to join the Indian Army. The educational requirement for this position is a Class 10th/ Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.

For boards following a grading system, a minimum of ‘D’ Grade (33%-40%) in individual subjects or grades with 33% in individual subjects and overall aggregate of ‘C2’ grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate. Candidates with a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving License will be given preference for Driver requirements.

Agniveer Technical (All Arms) is another sought-after position in the Indian Army. The educational qualification for this position is 10+2/Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject. Alternatively, candidates who have passed 10+2 / intermediate exam in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths & English from any recognized State Edn Bd or Central Edn Bd to include NIOS and ITI course of minimum one year in the required field with NSQF level 4 or above are also eligible. Moreover,

candidates who have passed 10th/Matric with 50% in aggregate and min 40% in English, Maths, and Science with 02 years of Tech Training from ITI or two/three years Diploma in the following streams are eligible: Mechanic Motor Veh, Mechanic Diesel, Electronic Mech, Technician Power Electronic Systems, Electrician, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (All types), Surveyor, Geo Informatics Assistant, Information and Communication Technology System Maintenance, Information Technology, Mechanic Cum Operator Electric Communication System, Vessel Navigator, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Auto Mobile Engineering, Computer Science/ Computer Engineering, Instrumentation Technology.

Agniveer Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical (All Arms) requires candidates to have passed the 10+2/Intermediate Exam in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in class XII is mandatory.

Agniveer Tradesman 10th pass (All Arms) is open to candidates who have passed Class 10th Simple Pass. There is no stipulation in aggregate percentage, but the candidate should have scored a minimum of 33% in each subject.

Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2023: Eligibility, Selection Process, and Salary Details

The Indian Army has released the notification for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Agniveer in 2023. The Agniveer is a special category of soldiers who will work for the Indian Army for a period of four years. The selected candidates will be given a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package on completion of their engagement period. In this article, we will discuss the eligibility criteria, selection process, and salary details for the Indian Army Agniveer post.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who were born between 01 Oct 2002 to 01 April 2006 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the Indian Army Agniveer post. They must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. They should also have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Indian Army Agniveer post consists of two phases.

Phase 1: Online Common Entrance Exam

The first phase is an online common entrance exam that will be conducted at computer-based test centers spread across India. The exam will be of two hours and will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The questions will be based on General Knowledge, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. Candidates who qualify for the first phase will be eligible to appear for the second phase.

Phase 2: Recruitment Rally

The second phase is a recruitment rally that will be conducted by AROs (Army Recruiting Offices) at the rally venue. The candidates who qualify for the first phase will have to appear for the following tests in the second phase.

(a) Physical Fitness Test (At Rally Site): The Physical Fitness Test consists of running, long jump, and high jump. The candidates will have to clear the prescribed standards in each of these tests.

(b) Physical Measurement Test (At Rally Site): The Physical Measurement Test will be conducted to check the height, weight, and chest of the candidates.

(c) Medical Examination: The candidates who qualify for the Physical Fitness Test and the Physical Measurement Test will have to undergo a medical examination. The medical examination will be conducted to check the overall health of the candidates.

Salary Details

The selected candidates will be given a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package on completion of their engagement period. The package will comprise their monthly contribution with matching contribution by the Government. The monthly contribution of the candidates and the contribution by the Government for each year are as follows:

Candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 250/- for the online examination. The payment can be made through any of the following options:
