Are You Eligible?

Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria set by the Indian Navy. Here’s a breakdown of the key requirements:

Educational Qualification:

• You must hold a 10+2 qualification in any stream or an equivalent examination.

Sports Proficiency:

The program differentiates between two categories based on your level of achievement:

• Direct Entry Petty Officer (Sports Entry):
  • You should be a medalist at the Junior or Senior level, representing your state in national competitions or having represented the country at the international level (individual event).
  • You should have represented a state or the country in national or international competitions at the Junior or Senior level (team event).
  • You should be a medalist in Khelo India Games & Youth Games or above.
  • You must provide a certificate from the respective sports authorities (federations) along with your application for final selection.
• Direct Entry Chief Petty Officer (Sports Entry):
  • You should have won a medal in any of the following prestigious competitions: World Championship, Asian Championship, Asian Games, CWG/World Cup.
  • You should have represented India twice in Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/World Cup.
  • You should have represented India in the Olympics.

Age Limit:

You must be between 17 ½ and 25 years old as of the commencement date of the course. This translates to being born between November 1st, 1999, and April 30th, 2007 (both dates inclusive).

Salary and Benefits:

• During the initial training period, you will receive a stipend of ₹14,600 per month.
• Upon successful completion of training, you will be placed in Pay Level 5 for Petty Officers and Pay Level 6 for Chief Petty Officers.
• A monthly Modified Service Pay (MSP) of ₹5200 along with Dearness Allowance (DA) will be provided.
• You will be covered by an insurance scheme with a coverage of ₹75 lakhs.

Selection Process:

The selection process is a two-step procedure:

1. Shortlisting: Based on your application and achievements, you may be shortlisted for the next stage.
2. Sports Trial: If shortlisted, you will be called for a sports trial to assess your skills and fitness.
