The eligibility criteria for NPCIL MAPS Apprentice program are as follows:
- Carpenter: The candidate must have passed the 8th class examination from a recognized school and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Carpenter Trade.
- Computer Operator and Programming Assistant: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant Trade.
- Draughtsman (Civil): The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Draughtsman (Civil) Trade.
- Draughtsman (Mechanical): The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Draughtsman (Mechanical) Trade.
- Electrician: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Electrician Trade.
- Electronics Mechanic: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Electronics Mechanic Trade.
- Fitter: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Fitter Trade.
- Instrument Mechanic: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic.
- Laboratory Assistant-Chemical Plant: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Electronics Mechanic Trade.
- Machinist: The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and should possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Machinist Trade.
- To become a Mason (Building Constructor), you need to have completed your 8th grade from a recognized school and hold an ITI Pass Certificate in the Mason (Building Constructor) trade.
- If you want to pursue a career as a Plumber, you must have passed your 10th grade under the 10+2 education system or an equivalent and hold an ITI Pass Certificate in the Plumber trade.
- To become a Turner, you need to have completed your 10th grade under the 10+2 education system or an equivalent and hold an ITI Pass Certificate in the Turner trade.
- Aspiring Welders must have completed their 8th grade from a recognized school and hold an ITI Pass Certificate in the Welder trade.
Age Criteria: Applicants must be at least 16 years old and not exceed the age of 24 years for General and EWS candidates. However, age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PWD candidates will be provided in accordance with Government of India directives as of May 25, 2023.
Stipend: A minimum monthly stipend of Rs. 7,700/- (for those who have completed one year of ITI Course) and Rs. 8,855/- (for those who have completed two years of ITI Course) will be provided to National or State Certificate holders.
Selection Process for NPCIL MAPS Apprentice 2022: NPCIL MAPS may follow the below-mentioned selection process:

How to Apply for NPCIL MAPS Apprentice Post:
Interested and eligible candidates must first register on the web portal Link Given Below for enrollment as apprentices. The applications will not be accepted without registration on the above-mentioned web portal.
Candidates must apply for the relevant trade through the Establishment Registration No. E12153300082, which is the Establishment ID for NPCIL, MAPS. However, submitting a hard copy of the application is mandatory for screening/selection.
Candidates can download the Application Form (Annexure-I) from the NPCIL Website Link Given Below Before applying, the candidate should ensure his/her eligibility for Apprentice Training.
The application should be submitted in the given proforma, preferably typewritten on A4 size paper. The outer cover should be marked “APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF TRADE APPRENTICE against Notice No. 01/MAPS/HRWTA-XVII/2023,” with a passport size photograph affixed in the space provided, along with all supporting documents. The completed application form should be sent to the following address:

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is a state-owned enterprise responsible for the generation of nuclear power in India. It was established in September 1987 under the Companies Act, 1956, and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. NPCIL is responsible for operating and maintaining India’s nuclear power plants and aims to provide safe, reliable, and eco-friendly nuclear power for the country’s energy needs.
NPCIL operates 23 nuclear reactors across the country, with a total installed capacity of 6,780 MW. These reactors are located in various parts of India, including Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. NPCIL’s nuclear power plants generate about 3% of India’s total electricity production and are a vital component of the country’s energy mix.
