In addition to the above qualifications, the candidate must also have a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences/ Space Sciences from a recognized university. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% or CGPA 6.2 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination. The graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the institute/university.
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates must also have experience in the field of design, development, and validation of atmospheric instruments using different kinds of sensors, development, and testing of various weather data analysis and processing algorithms/models.
Essential Qualifications for Scientist ‘C’ (MRF) Code: STCM: Microwaves & RF
For this position, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology (BE/B.Tech) in the fields of electronics, communications, telecommunications, or electrical engineering (IIT) from a recognized institute/university. The educational qualification can be in single or a combination of the above disciplines.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must have four years of post-qualification experience related to design and development in the areas of RF/Microwave systems, Millimeter Wave Systems, VLSI, Radar, Communications, and Antenna in scientific R&D institutions/industry, or both. Alternatively, a post-graduate degree in engineering or technology (ME/M.Tech/MS) in Microwaves, Radar, VLSI, Electronics, Communications, Telecommunications, from a recognized university and Electrical Engineering (IIT) with two years of post-qualification experience related to design and development in the above-mentioned areas is also acceptable. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% or CGPA 6.2 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination.
