The following are the eligibility criteria for various Technical and Non-Technical posts at SDSC SHAR:

1. Technical Assistant (Cinematography/Photography) – A First Class Diploma in Cinematography/Photography from a recognized University/Institution.
2. Technical Assistant (Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering) – A First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
3. Technical Assistant (Electronics & Communication Engineering) – A First Class Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
4. Technical Assistant (Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering) – A First Class Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
5. Technical Assistant (Mechanical Engineering) – A First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
6. Technical Assistant (Computer Science) – A First Class B.Sc. degree with Computer Science as the main subject from a recognized University/Institution.

19. Technician ‘B’ Diesel Mechanic with HVD Licence – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC in Diesel Mechanic Trade from NCVT and Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
20. Technician ‘B’ Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (R & AC) – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade from NCVT.
21. Draughtsman ‘B’ Civil – SSLC/SSC pass + ITI/NTC/NAC

22. To qualify as a Technician ‘B’ Diesel Mechanic with HVD License, candidates must have passed SSLC/SSC and completed ITI/NTC/NAC in Diesel Mechanic Trade from NCVT. Additionally, they must hold a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
23. Those interested in becoming a Technician ‘B’ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (R & AC) must have passed SSLC/SSC and completed ITI/NTC/NAC in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade from NCVT.
24. To qualify for the position of Draughtsman ‘B’ Civil, candidates must have passed SSLC/SSC and completed ITI/NTC/NAC in Draughtsman (Civil) Trade from NCVT.
25. Candidates interested in the position of Draughtsman ‘B’ Mechanical must have passed SSLC/SSC and completed ITI/NTC/NAC in Draughtsman (Mechanical) Trade from NCVT.

Age Limit:

The age limit for the following posts, as of 16.05.2023, is 18 to 35 years:

• Technical Assistant (Post Code 02 to 06)
• Scientific Assistant (Post Code 07 to 09)
• Library Assistant ‘A’ (Post Code 10)
• Technician ‘B’/ Draughtsman ‘B’ (Post Code 11-26)

However, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s), and for Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.

Candidates will be provided relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government rules. For more details, please refer to the SDSC SHAR official Notification 2023.

Salary Details:

The monthly salary for the following posts is as follows:

• Technical Assistant (Post Code 02 to 06): Rs. 63,758/- per month Basic Pay + DA HRA & Transport Allowance as per Govt. of India orders
• Scientific Assistant (Post Code 07 to 09): Rs. 63,758/- per month Basic Pay + DA HRA & Transport Allowance as per Govt. of India orders
• Library Assistant ‘A’ (Post Code 10): Rs. 63,758/- per month Basic Pay + DA HRA & Transport Allowance as per Govt. of India orders
• Technician ‘B’/ Draughtsman ‘B’ (Post Code 11-26): Rs. 30,814/- per month Basic Pay + DA HRA & Transport Allowance as per Govt. of India orders

SDSC SHAR Technician Selection Process 2023:

The SDSC SHAR may follow the below-mentioned process to select candidates:

1. Written Test
2. Skill Test

Exam Center In Tamilnadu:

The exam centers for the SDSC SHAR Technician exam in Tamilnadu are Chennai and Madurai.

SDSC SHAR Technician Question Papers:

Application Fee/Exam Fee for SDSC SHAR Technician:

For Post Code 02 to 10, the application fee is Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) for each application, and all candidates have to pay a processing fee of Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty only) per application initially.

The processing fee will be refunded only to candidates who appear in the written test.

For Post Code 11 to 26, the application fee is Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) for each application, and all candidates have to pay a processing fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) per application initially.

The processing fee will be refunded only to candidates who appear in the written test.

The processing fee will be refunded as follows:

• Rs.750/- will be refunded in full for candidates who are exempted from payment of application fee (women, SC/ST/ PWBD, Ex-Servicemen).
• Rs.500/- will be refunded after deducting the application fee in respect of all other candidates for Post Code 02 to 10.
• Rs.400/- will be refunded after deducting the application fee in respect of all other candidates for Post Code 11 to 26.

Note: The applicants shall pay the application fee as indicated in the table above through Online Payment Mode Only.
