Eligibility Criteria for SSB Assistant Commandant (Communication):

Educational Qualification:

• Essential: Applicants must hold a degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Communication Engineering, or Electronics from a recognized University or Institute. Alternatively, they should be an Associate Member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers or an Associate member of the Institution of Engineers, or possess an equivalent qualification such as an MSc. in Electronics, Telecommunication, Information Technology, or Computer Science from a recognized University or an institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.
• Desirable: Possession of an NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate.

Age Limit: (As on 01.10.2023)

• Assistant Commandant (Communication) – Up to 35 Years

The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs & 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-Servicemen as per the Government of India rules. Candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government rules. Refer to the SSB official Notification 2023 for more details.

Salary Details:

• Assistant Commandant (Communication) – Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/- per month

Selection Process for SSB Assistant Commandant (Communication) 2023:

SSB may employ the following process to select candidates:

1. Written Exam
2. Interview

• UR/EWS and OBC category candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred) only through net-banking/credit card/debit card, which is non-refundable. However, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees.
