The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is inviting applications for the following positions:

Here are the discipline-wise details of the vacancies:
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or institute.
Sports Qualification:
- Players who have represented the country in any recognized International events.
- Players who have represented a State/UT in Senior or Junior level National championships.
- Players who have represented a University in an Inter-University competition.
- Players who have represented the State Schools in the National Sports/Games for Schools.
- Players awarded National Award in physical efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.
Note: Sports qualification will be considered based on the candidates’ participation/achievements in the past 02 years (cut-off date for eligibility is 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News).
Age Limit: Between 18 to 23 years as of 20.11.2023. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC as per Govt. of India rules.
Salary Details: The selected candidates for the post of CT (GD) under Sports Quota will receive a Pay Matrix of Rs. 21,700-69,100/- (Level-3) as per 7th CPC, along with other allowances as admissible.
Selection Process:
The selection process will be conducted in two stages:
Stage-I (for candidates with International participation/medal winners and National medal winners up to 3rd place):
- Documentation
- Checking of Sports Achievements
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Review Medical Examination (RME)
- Final Selection
Stage-II (for other eligible candidates if vacancies remain unfilled after selection of candidates with medals/participations in International and medals winners in national competitions up to 3rd place):
- Documentation
- Field Trial/Skill Test
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Review Medical Examination (RME)
- Final Selection
Application Fee:
- Unreserved, EWS, and OBC category candidates: Rs. 100/- (non-refundable) through online mode.
- SC/ST & Female candidates are exempted from the payment of fees.
How to Apply: Candidates meeting the specified criteria should apply online through the SSB website in the careers webpage under the current openings section from 21.10.2023 to 20.11.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.
