Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd (TANGEDCO) is offering an exciting opportunity for Technician (Diploma) Apprentices in various disciplines. The distribution of posts is as follows:
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
- Computer Engineering/ Information Technology
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Full-time Diploma in Engineering or technology awarded by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline.
- Full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology awarded by a University in the relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Govt or Central Govt as equivalent to the above.
Age Limit: Candidates’ age limit will be in accordance with the Apprenticeship Rules.
Stipend: Technician (Diploma) Apprentices will receive a stipend of Rs. 8000/-.
Selection Process: The selection process involves:

How to Apply:
For Candidates already enrolled in the National Web Portal & having login details:
- Log in to the portal
- Click on the Establishment Request Menu
- Find Establishment and upload Resume
- Choose “TANGEDCO” from the list and apply
For Students not enrolled in the Official National Web Portal:
- Visit
- Register as a Student and complete the application form
- Upon registration, a unique Enrolment Number (ATN) will be generated
- Log in, search for “TANGEDCO,” and apply against advertised vacancies
