TNPSC Manager (Veterinary) Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: (As of 20.09.2023)
Applicants should hold the following qualifications or their equivalents awarded by recognized universities or institutions:
- Research Assistant:
- M.V.Sc. (Microbiology/Pathology/Parasitology/Dairy Microbiology/Animal Biotechnology)
- Successful completion of SSLC Examination or its equivalent with Tamil as one of the languages
- Registration as a Veterinary Practitioner with the Tamil Nadu State Veterinary Council established under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Central Act 52 of 1984).
- Manager (Veterinary):
- A degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized university (now known as B.V.Sc & A.H)
- Registration with the Veterinary Council.
Note: The educational qualifications required for these positions should have been acquired through the following sequence of studies: 10th + HSC or equivalent + Bachelor’s Degree + PG Degree from a recognized institution, as mandated by Section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.
Age Limit: (As of 01.07.2023)

Age Concession:
(i) For Persons with Benchmark Disability: Persons with Benchmark Disability are eligible for an age concession of up to 10 years beyond the maximum age limit prescribed (Section 64 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016).
(ii) For Ex-servicemen:
- The maximum age limit for Ex-servicemen is 50 years (Section 63 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016).
- The above-mentioned age concession does not apply to Ex-servicemen applicants who have already been recruited to any class or service or category (Section 3(j) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016).
Salary Details:
- Research Assistant: Rs. 56,100 – 2,05,700 (Level 22) (Revised scale)
- Manager (Veterinary): Rs. 55,500 – 1,75,700 (Level 21) (Revised scale)
