The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is inviting applications for the following posts:
- Assistant Agricultural Officer (Post Code No.3101) – Tamil Nadu Agricultural Extension Subordinate Service (Code No.102) – 79*+5 C/F
- Assistant Horticultural Officer (Post Code No.3104) – Tamil Nadu Horticultural Subordinate Service (Code No.105) – 148*+31 C/F Total Vacancies: 263 C/F – Carried Forward Vacancies
*Note: Vacancies mentioned are after deducting 3% for meritorious sports persons, as per G.O.(Ms) No.6, Youth Welfare and Sports Development (S1) Department, Dated 20.02.2019.
Eligibility Criteria:
Assistant Agricultural Officer:
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (plus two) Examination.
- Must possess a two-year Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized institution.
Assistant Horticultural Officer:
- A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination.
- A pass in a two-year Diploma course in Horticulture from approved institutions.
*Note: Specific educational qualifications and exclusions are detailed in the official notification.
Knowledge in Tamil: Applicants must possess adequate knowledge in Tamil as of the date of this notification.
Age Limit: (As on 01.07.2024)
- SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, and Destitute Widows: 18 Years to No maximum Age limit
- ‘OTHERS’ (Not belonging to specified categories): 32 years (Should not have Completed)
*Note: Maximum age limit enhanced by 2 years as per G.O (Ms).No.91, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated 13.09.2021.
Salary Details:
- Assistant Agricultural Officer – Rs.20,600 – 75,900/- (Level-10)
- Assistant Horticultural Officer – Rs.20,600 – 75,900/- (Level-10)
Selection Process:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) Objective Type for Both The Posts
- Certificate Verification
