The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is inviting applications for the following posts:

1. Assistant Agricultural Officer (Post Code No.3101) – Tamil Nadu Agricultural Extension Subordinate Service (Code No.102) – 79*+5 C/F
2. Assistant Horticultural Officer (Post Code No.3104) – Tamil Nadu Horticultural Subordinate Service (Code No.105) – 148*+31 C/F Total Vacancies: 263 C/F – Carried Forward Vacancies

*Note: Vacancies mentioned are after deducting 3% for meritorious sports persons, as per G.O.(Ms) No.6, Youth Welfare and Sports Development (S1) Department, Dated 20.02.2019.

Eligibility Criteria:

Assistant Agricultural Officer:

• Must have passed Higher Secondary (plus two) Examination.
• Must possess a two-year Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized institution.

Assistant Horticultural Officer:

• A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination.
• A pass in a two-year Diploma course in Horticulture from approved institutions.

*Note: Specific educational qualifications and exclusions are detailed in the official notification.

Knowledge in Tamil: Applicants must possess adequate knowledge in Tamil as of the date of this notification.

Age Limit: (As on 01.07.2024)

• SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, and Destitute Widows: 18 Years to No maximum Age limit
• ‘OTHERS’ (Not belonging to specified categories): 32 years (Should not have Completed)

*Note: Maximum age limit enhanced by 2 years as per G.O (Ms).No.91, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated 13.09.2021.

Salary Details:

1. Assistant Agricultural Officer – Rs.20,600 – 75,900/- (Level-10)
2. Assistant Horticultural Officer – Rs.20,600 – 75,900/- (Level-10)

Selection Process:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) Objective Type for Both The Posts
2. Certificate Verification

Application Fee: a. Registration Fee: Rs.150/- b. Examination Fee: Rs.100/-
