Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: (As of 13.10.2023)
Applicants must hold a degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce and a Law degree from a University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.
Preferential Qualification: Preference will be given to Religious Institutions employees (non-Government) with over 5 years of service. Additionally, preference will be given to those holding a Diploma in Epigraphy and Archaeology from the Institute of Epigraphy in Tamil Nadu.
Note: The specified qualification order is 10th + HSC or its equivalent + (Bachelor’s degree + B.L. degree) / 5 years B.L. Degree as per Section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.
Age Limit: (As of 01.07.2023)

- As per G.O (Ms) No.91, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated 13.09.2021, the Maximum Age Limit for direct recruitment has been enhanced by 2 years (35 to 37 years).
Age Concession:
For Persons with Benchmark Disability: No maximum age limit for Differently Abled Persons applicants belonging to specified categories. Others are eligible for age concession up to 10 years over the maximum age limit.
For Ex-Servicemen: No maximum age limit for specified categories. For others, the maximum age limit is 50 years (48+2).
Salary Details:
- Executive Officer Grade-I – Rs.37,700 – 1,38,500 (Level 20)
Selection Process:
- Written Exam (Objective Type) (CBT Method)
- Oral Test in the shape of an Interview

a. Registration Fee: Rs.150/- (Exempted for applicants already registered within the validity period of 5 years)
b. Examination Fee: Rs.150/- (Payable online through Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card)
Examination Fee Concessions:
- Full Exemption for specified categories.
- Three Free Chances for Most Backward Classes/Denotified Communities/Backward Classes (Other than Muslims) and Ex-Servicemen.
