Position Purpose and Scope:

This position plays a crucial role in our success by:

  1. Leading the store operations and managing a team of store partners to create and uphold the Starbucks Experience for our customers and partners.
  2. The primary responsibilities of a store manager include achieving sales targets, increasing profits, handling customer service issues, managing staff, and ensuring safety and security.
  3. The store manager is accountable for embodying and acting in accordance with the guiding principles of TATA Starbucks Limited.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and essential job functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Scheduling and assigning partners, following up on work results to meet store operational requirements.
  • Establishing rapport with customers and other partners to identify current and future customer needs and service requirements.
  • Maintaining composure during high-volume or unusual events, ensuring the store operates to standards and setting a positive example for the shift team.
  • Demonstrating a willingness to share coffee knowledge and stories with others.
  • Instilling a “customer-first” attitude by training partners and holding them accountable for delivering legendary customer service.
  • Soliciting feedback from customers.
  • Conducting partner interviews and training, planning and directing work assignments, and engaging in regular interaction and review with the team.
  • Encouraging the team to make independent decisions.
  • Conducting goal-setting activities and developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, overseeing execution, and measuring results.
  • Reviewing performance to achieve organizational goals and evaluating employees’ performance.
  • Conducting performance appraisals and addressing complaints or problems.

  • Ensuring partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
