We are in search of forward-thinking, tech-savvy professionals to support the continuous development of our assessment products.
As an Assessment Development Specialist, you will be directly involved in shaping the core offering of TestGorilla: our assessments and testing instruments.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and experts from various disciplines worldwide to enhance, innovate, scale, and expedite our assessment and test development.
Your work will closely involve subject-matter experts (SMEs) in test creation and review, while also contributing new content and intellectual property within both the Test Development team and the broader TestGorilla ecosystem.
Your role will demand innovation, creativity, and strong project management and content development skills. As a “content owner,” you will facilitate SMEs by providing them with the necessary guidelines, templates, and resources to ensure their contributions meet the highest standards.
You will provide feedback to SMEs throughout the process to enhance the quality of their work and organize third-party technical reviews to guarantee content accuracy, validity, and overall quality. Additionally, you will collaborate with SMEs on test updates and revisions to continuously improve our published library.
As part of our rapidly growing startup, you will also have the opportunity to engage in various projects and cross-functional teams that directly contribute to the enhancement of our products and the development of essential content and intellectual property.
This is a remarkable chance to contribute to the innovation and evolution of talent assessment products within TestGorilla’s portfolio and become a part of the team shaping the future of hiring.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the development of new and improved test instruments and intellectual property, focusing on abilities, preferences, universal skills, and role-specific skills. This may involve activities such as working with SMEs from diverse fields, creating test item content, providing design input, generating interpretive report content, conducting research and analysis, and producing thorough documentation.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary and international colleagues, encompassing Test Development, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams, to address challenges, provide internal and external support, offer insights, and ensure our platform delivers a fair, compliant, and accurate experience.
- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of highly qualified SMEs, building strong relationships, guiding their work, and providing editing feedback to enhance expression, objectivity, and clarity, adhering to best practices in test development.
- Working with Product Owners and SMEs to address feedback from users and insights from our proprietary algorithms, thereby improving tests.
- Proposing new test ideas for our test library and creating innovative content to support hiring activities, such as custom screening questions, interview queries, and practical job simulations.
- Contributing to the refinement and standardization of our test development tools and processes.

- You have a strong interest in digital solutions, HR tech, recruitment trends, psychometric assessments, testing, and hiring, and are eager to deepen your knowledge in these areas.

- You collaborate effectively with others and can independently manage your collaborators.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and iterative environment typical of a fast-growing startup and prefer a degree of ambiguity over strict, defined processes.
- You are a creative problem-solver, anticipate needs, work proactively to achieve future goals, and possess a flexible, positive, can-do attitude.
