BARC OCES/DGFS is seeking applications for the following positions:

1. Scientific Officers (Group-A):

• One-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES/DGFS-2024) will be held at BARC Training Schools in Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore, and Hyderabad for the academic year 2024-2025.
• Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate marks upon completing the Training Programme will be designated as Scientific Officers in various DAE units.

Successful TSOs will be posted in DAE units such as:

• Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai
• Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam
• Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore
• Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata
• Heavy Water Board (HWB), Mumbai
• Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad
• Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology (BRIT), Mumbai
• Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), Mumbai
• Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Ltd (BHAVINI), Kalpakkam
• Uranium Corporation of India Ltd (UCIL), Jaduguda
• Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration & Research (AMD), Hyderabad
• Directorate of Construction, Services & Estate Management (DCSEM), Mumbai

(*Note: Units marked with asterisks have their Head Office at the indicated locations. Placement may be at the Head Office or other facilities across India.)

2. Two-year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates (DGFS-2024):

• This scheme, beginning in 2024, offers a two-year fellowship for engineering graduates.
• After one year of coursework, DGFS Fellows undertake project work supervised jointly by DAE and the DGFS Institute guide.
• On successful completion of M.Tech., DGFS Fellows are appointed as Scientific Officers in DAE units.

Age Limit (as of 01.08.2024):

• General Category: 26 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 29 years
• SC/ST: 31 years
• Dep 1984: 31 years (Dependents of those who died in the riots of 1984)
• Dom Kashmir: 31 years (Persons domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir State from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989)
• Physically Challenged: 10 years age relaxation (with a minimum age limit of 18 years)

Salary Details:

• Stipend during Training: ₹55,000 per month for OCES TSOs and DGFS Fellows.
• Additional allowances, one-time book allowance, and contingency grant provided.

Selection Process:

• Online Exam/GATE Score/CBS or NISER CGPA score followed by an Interview.

Application Fee:

• ₹500 for male applicants in General and OBC categories, Dep 1984, and Dom Kashmir.
• Exempted for women candidates, SC/ST, transgender candidates, DODPKIA, and Physically Challenged candidates with a disability of 40% or more.
