Eligibility Criteria for CIBA Young Professional Roles:
Educational Qualifications:
- Research Associate:
- Essential Qualification: A Ph.D. in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Zoology, Marine Biology, or Marine Biotechnology. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Aquaculture or Fisheries Science with a 4 to 5-year Bachelor’s degree, achieving a 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average.
- Essential Research Experience: A minimum of three years of research experience as demonstrated through Fellowship, Associateship, Training, or other relevant engagements, as per the guidelines provided in F. No. 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25.04.2014. Additionally, at least one research paper in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS rated (24.0) Journal, as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019.
- Desirable: Proficiency in shrimp farming, operations, farm and feed management, along with research experience in shrimp farming and related activities.
- Young Professional-II:
- Essential Qualification: A postgraduate degree in Biological Science, Life Science, Marine Biology, Zoology, Aquaculture, Microbiology, Coastal Aquaculture, Marine Biotechnology, or a postgraduate degree in professional Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Aquaculture Engineering, or Bioinformatics.
- Desirable: Mandatory working knowledge and experience in shrimp farming operations, farm management, and feed management. Willingness to engage in shrimp farm-related tasks is a plus.
- Young Professional-I:
- Essential Qualification: A graduate degree in Biological Science, Life Science, Zoology, Aquaculture, Coastal Aquaculture, Marine Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a graduate degree in professional Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, or Aquaculture Engineering.
- Desirable: Mandatory understanding and exposure to shrimp farming operations, farm management, and feed management. Willingness to participate in shrimp farm-related tasks is advantageous.
Age Limits:
- Research Associate: Minimum age of 25 years and a maximum of 45 years. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
- Young Professional-II: Minimum age of 21 years and a maximum of 45 years. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
- Young Professional-I: Minimum age of 21 years and a maximum of 45 years. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
Candidates’ upper age limit relaxation will adhere to Government Rules. For further details, refer to the CIBA official Notification 2023.
Salary Details:
- Research Associate: Remuneration of Rs. 49,000/- per month + HRA for Master’s Degree holders, and Rs. 54,000/- per month + HRA for Ph.D. holders.
- Young Professional-II: Consolidated pay of Rs. 35,000/- per month.
- Young Professional-I: Consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000/- per month.
Selection Process for CIBA Young Professional 2023:
Only short-listed candidates will receive communication via email regarding the interview process. Those who receive the email should prepare to attend an online interview and submit required documents.
