Eligibility Guidelines:

Educational Qualifications:

1. Junior Research Fellow – Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology OR Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a professional course in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology. Candidates must have cleared one of the following:

1. CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE qualification
   1. Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their Agencies and Institutions (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.) Desirable: Candidates with working knowledge in molecular biology/Bioinformatics techniques are preferred.

• Research Associate (RA-II) – Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology OR 3 years of research experience after a Postgraduate Degree in a professional course (MFSc, MTech, MVSc) in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. Desirable: Candidates with working knowledge in molecular biology/Bioinformatics techniques are preferred.

Age Limit:

1. Junior Research Fellow – Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as of the interview date. Age limits are relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
2. Research Associate (RA-II) – Maximum 45 years as of the interview date. Age limits are relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules. Candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government Rules. Refer to the official CIBA Notification 2023 for more details.

Salary Information:

1. Junior Research Fellow – Rs. 31,000/+ HRA per month
2. Research Associate (RA-II) – Rs. 49,000/+ HRA per month

Selection Process:

Communication will be sent only to short-listed candidates by email to attend the interview at a later date at CIBA, Chennai.
