Eligibility Guidelines:
Educational Qualifications:
- Junior Research Fellow – Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology OR Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a professional course in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology. Candidates must have cleared one of the following:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE qualification
- Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their Agencies and Institutions (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.) Desirable: Candidates with working knowledge in molecular biology/Bioinformatics techniques are preferred.
- Research Associate (RA-II) – Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology OR 3 years of research experience after a Postgraduate Degree in a professional course (MFSc, MTech, MVSc) in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. Desirable: Candidates with working knowledge in molecular biology/Bioinformatics techniques are preferred.
Age Limit:
- Junior Research Fellow – Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as of the interview date. Age limits are relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
- Research Associate (RA-II) – Maximum 45 years as of the interview date. Age limits are relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules. Candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government Rules. Refer to the official CIBA Notification 2023 for more details.
Salary Information:
- Junior Research Fellow – Rs. 31,000/+ HRA per month
- Research Associate (RA-II) – Rs. 49,000/+ HRA per month
Selection Process:
Communication will be sent only to short-listed candidates by email to attend the interview at a later date at CIBA, Chennai.
